Since this is a Third Party product we don't know much about it and what it runs if you google it and see if it uses NTFS storage type it'll work with the console USB 3.0 works as well but you all ready know the device has it.

Here's a Official Xbox External HDD product:

    External hard drive xbox one

    Hello there,

Thank you for posting on Xbox Forums. As previously mentioned by our Ambassador's in regards to your question about the External Hard Drive for your Xbox 360, you will need to get an External that is compatible with the Xbox one. The external hard drive
that you have for your 360 will not be compatible with the Xbox one. If you would like more info on

External disk drive for Xbox One

External disc drives will not be compatible with the Xbox One as external hard drives do. If the drive is bad, then you should start a service request
for it at Microsoft Device Support.

External hard drive compatibility issue since the latest April system update

    Hi GHURAB10,

Sorry you're having issues with your external hard drive. To answer your immediate question, no, the recent Xbox Update should work with hard drives that were previously compatible. If you're having issues with a hard drive I would suggest following

    this article
for troubleshooting steps. If you're still having issues after that, please post back detailing the exact issue you're having, and the hard drive make / model.

    Hope this helps!

Unfortunately you will need to get the Xbox brand hard drives, since external ones aren't compatible with the console
