    Xbox One external drive issue.


    Hello. As posted before my external drive inside my xpack enclosure can no longer update games. Games on the drive already thay do not need updated continue to work. Apps will update and can be transfered to and from the external drive with issues. New
    games will not install and can not be transfered to or from the external drive as well. If the drive is removed from the xpack enclosure and put into a different housing games can be transfered and updated. The integrity of the xpack enclose was tested and
    is functioning properly whe. Not connected to the xbox. Everything worked din before the update in February. Please don't reply with info on formatting the drive.

    Are you running it off of the hard drive on the Xbox One or an external one? If you are playing off of the internal drive on the Xbox One then you may want to get an external for it because that is a known issue as far as the Xbox One hard drive and this
    game.

    Having the same issues. Could be something to do with the external hard drive maybe, not had time to troubleshoot yet though.

    Some ideas to try maybe?

    1. Make the Xbox One drive the primary drive, while the external drive is still plugged in

    2. Try with the external hard drive unplugged

    No idea if this will make a difference, but this issue only started for me since I got an external drive. Unless others are having the same issue with no external hard drive?

    Thanks for the reply. I'm sorry to hear that the issue is persistent on the External Hard Drive.

    Have you tried connecting the hard drive to a PC?

    Does the PC recognize the external hard drive?

    Does the external hard drive meet the specifications for the Xbox One?

    If the problem persists, I recommend to try a different external hard drive on the Xbox if possible. One thing we want to make sure, Are the ports on the Xbox One functioning?

    Were the HD's Xbox ones or were they external? If they were external drives then you should try an official Xbox hard drive. Otherwise it may be an issue with the console itself and may be in need of a repair.
