    XBOX ONE ETHERNET PORT NOT WORKING


    My xbox can connect to wifi wirelessly, it's not very efficient and gets upnp and similar issues regularly. But this summer I noticed with my ethernet plugged in it continued to use my wireless wifi. I didn't play much because I worked 60 hours a week.
    Now I'm at college and the only possible way to connect to the internet on my xbox is with an ethernet. I have tried several cords on several routers and modems but nothing seems to work. It doesn't give me a message either it simply just doesn't read that
    anything is plugged in. I looked online to see if I can get service done under my warranty but for a hardware problem related to connectivity issues the only answer I get is a link to the microsoft "contact us" page. I'd like to see if there is something I
    can do or possible get it sent back for repair. Thanks.

    Whenever i plug my xbox into ethernet it doesnt work the router wont even reconize something is plugged into the slot ive basically tried everything from a brand new cable to a hard reset on the router. The router does work with my pc but not with the xbox
    wondering if anyone else has had this problem if so what did you do to fix it? ( I have the white out edition dont know if that matters)

    I believe that I have solved my problem. I am on a college network and my device was not registered with the network, even though it had been. Still some issues but I think they are on live's side.
