Xbox One Error - Unable to join the Fortnite login queue

Hi! I keep getting this error today: "Unable to join the Fortnite login queue. Please try again later."

I got it a little over a week ago, the error lasted all day, but worked again the next day without any intervention.

It started happening again this morning and I have tried all the following things:

Uninstalled and reinstalled the entire game from the system

Reset my router

Changed my Xbox to connect to our router's 2.4GHz instead of 5GHz

Cleared the MAC Address under advanced network settings on the Xbox

Verified my next door neighbor's Xbox can connect to Fortnite (using their router, anyway)

Verified my 2 computers and Nintendo Switch connect to Fortnite just fine

I have extensively searched for this error and have not seen much. One suggested that the Xbox servers are at capacity and I should just keep trying. However, like I said, my neighbor connects without problem while I continue to get this.

Just a note that this error is weird in that this error screen pops up and disappears so quickly the only way I was able to read the error was to take a video and pause it. After the error it returns to the "(A) Press to start" screen which just cycles through this error again.

In the end I was able to determine that it was caused by my router. I connected to my neighbors network and Fortnite worked. Then I connected back to my router and it again failed. I rebooted my router but it still failed. Finally, I unplugged my router for 5 minutes and after that it worked. I did not have to reset my modem. I have not had the problem since.

Note that I did do all the XBOX tests for networking/NAT and everything returned ok while the problem existed.

My router is a TP-Link Archer AX3000.

You might want to try clearing the local save for the game, as it might have gotten corrupted!

Well no as it's a developer issue not an xbox issue

Fortnite handles and manages the queue not xbox

It is on the go but depends on the game

If you are talking about fortnite

That doesn't require gpu

And is queued due to the popularity of the game just like Diablo 4

Even with cloud.you need to.sign into game servers which if they are heavily populated online only games which can have queues

If you want to avoid this avoid popular games.that are online only like fortnite or Diablo 4

Queues are not.the responsibility of gamepass ultimate or psn for that matter

It is upto the developer

Queues help.maintain to avoid congestion on servers.If a server.is too populated in popular games like fortnite then they limit the amount of people playing at a time

This is independent of subscription or

(paid or free with fortnite )

Since it is the developer.not.the cloud service that maintain the queue and.game.service

Xcloud only provides.you.with an online machine with the game installed on it vs owning your own machine or installing the.game

From.there you connect to .the .game.servers and put into their queue not xbox's

And no fortnite still queues paid or free as congestion is based on players online NOT paid or free status

Although I have a current Xbox Live Gold subscription lasting into 2019 I'm unable to login to Fortnite with the error message that Xbox Luve Gold is required.

Sorry to hear it. Please try holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds till it shuts down to see if that helps. If it does not then try deleting your gamertag from the console and power cycle again before redownloading your tag.
