Xbox One Error: Something went wrong. Please try again later. 0x801901f4

Hi All,

My Xbox One has always been working, but today I had to rush out and turn my Xbox One off while I was on the pause screen for Red Dead Redemption 2.

I got back home half an hour later, turned on the xbox, heard the ding noise and seen the light come on then it went off on it's own.

I tried turning on again and I'm now I'm being asked to sign in. When I do try I'm getting either error: 0x80190005 or 0x801901f4.

I have seen a number of threads and it looks like possible solutions are to try Removing my account and add it again or alternatively, reset my Xbox.

I have a lot of offline data saved inclduding my progress for Red Dead 2 so I really need a miracle and find a way to fix this without resetting.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

I'll check this when I get home. I'm pretty sure not much heat was coming from it but I'll doublecheck.

I'm leaving the xbox switched off all day today too while I'm at work in a hope that it will do something!

Hey there,

Always leave the console lugged in. Unplugging and plugging back in can cause some issues.

Random question though, is the console runing hot at all?

Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Forums!

We understand your concern for your offline game data. We normally would recommend removing the account or a soft
reset. Since this seems to be out of the question currently, please try power
cycling the console. Do this by pressing the power button on the Xbox itself for 10 seconds. After it shuts down,
unplug the console for 1-2 minutes. Plug it back in and turn on the console. Check to see if it brings up the Xbox screen. Then try to sign in again and see if it still shows the
error code.

We are happy to hear a factory reset of the console solved the issue! As long as you connect to Xbox Live, any offline progress made will update the next time you go online to the Xbox Cloud Storage so no progress is lost. I will now lock this thread since
