    Hey everyone!

Sorry to hear about the error code issues, I can definitely understand how frustrating that could be. I recommend trying a few troubleshooting steps to see if we can get this issue sorted:

Please give the following steps a try:

    • First, press and hold the power button on your Xbox One console for 10 seconds.
    • Once your console is powered off, unplug the power cord.
    • Wait 5 minutes and then plug in your console.
    • Power on your console and check to see if you are still experiencing the same error.
    • If the error continues to occur, check out our Xbox One update solution page for some helpful steps.
Give the suggested steps a try and let us know if the issue continues.

  2. AcridMantis1013 you need to be connected online when you first start up as there is a system update required, if you still have this error follow Mister Quimbys advise.

  5. Hey everyone!

Sorry to hear the error code issues are continuing to occur. If you are continuing to experience the issue, please give the following steps a try:

    • Press and hold the power button on the Xbox One console for 10 seconds, or until the unit is fully powered off.
    • Unplug the power supply from the back of the Xbox One console and let it sit for 5 minutes.
    • Plug the power back in and power on.
If the issue persists follow the steps in our Xbox One Offline System Update page. Please note the following:

    • If you got the error before doing the first time update on a brand new console, downloadOSUDT1.
    • If your console is not new and has received updates before, download OSUDT2.
    • If after trying either of those files you still experience this issue, download the Restore to Factory Defaults file.
If the issue persists after trying the offline diagnostics, I recommend contacting our chat or phone support agents through our Contact Us page.

I'm also getting this error code. I'm hoping that it might be due to the DDOS attack that Lizard Squad put out on Xbox Live. I have a Sunset Overdrive Bundle Xbox, and I live overseas. Sending it back is not an option, as I probably wouldn't get it back
until March. The OSUDT1, OSUDT2, and the Factory Reset do not work. I've been trying for two days now.

Same error code here. I exchanged the unit today for another brand new one and I am having the exact same error code, WTF?! My boy is very disappointed and I'm seriously considering taking it back for a refund and getting a PS4.

Ok I just got the skinny on the issue from the Gamestop guys. Apparently when you first turn on your XBOX One it has to be connected to the internet in order to download what's called the "Day one" update. After this update is downloaded and installed on
your system it is validated on Microsoft's servers which then unlock your system and allow you access to the menu's and other regular system functions and this is a one time requirement in order to use it so afterwards you will not need internet access to
use your system except for online play. Since the internet attack on Microsoft's servers has them down everyone should be able to setup their systems once they come back up and that is supposed to happen around 8PM tonight 12/27/14 CST...Good luck everyone.

  12. I'd bet a lot of the issues that Xone is having is related to the Lizard Squad attack, although I don't think Microsoft wants us to know how much got *** up. It's just odd that so many errors are happening right after this incident.

the attack surely wouldn't stop consoles from getting past the green screen?

  14. Get a memory stick that will hold a 25MB file (and that you're happy to erase completely). Make sure it's formatted as 'NTFS' rather than the usual FAT. That threw me a little bit, 'cos I'd no idea what it meant. Anyway, it's fairly straightforward and lots
of 'how to' vids online - I use a mac and had to download a free app from Paragon to enable this option via Disk Utility - if you use a PC, I think it's one of your default options. Then, on this xbox website, go to support.xbox.com/.../offline-system-update-diagnostic-tool
and choose to download the 'restore factory defaults' file. Once downloaded, copy it onto your memory stick.

Next, unplug power from back of XB1 and wait 30 seconds. Plug power back in, insert your memory stick into one of the USB slots in back of XB1 and, while holding the BIND and EJECT buttons at the same time, press the POWER ON button on console (the white
x!). Keeping holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for about 10 seconds until you hear a 'reboot' chime. Release the buttons and you should then hear ANOTHER reboot chime. Then just wait ... the console should spring into life - we got a thin green bar on the
TV screen, showing progress. I think, after a while, the console restarted itself - anyway, the rest is all self-explanatory ... just follow the on-screen instructions. I really hope this works for you ...

By the way, the BIND button is the one 'around the corner' on the left side of the console (apologies if you knew that - I only mention it as I had no idea WTF it was!). Good luck...

  15. Actually, just read the xbox support info and they say keep holding the BIND and EJECT buttons til you hear the second chime. I'm pretty sure I let go after the first, but might be best to do what they suggest!!
