Xbox One error code: 0x854f0000

Exact same problem as well. First time customizing my avatar and thought I would save it as my gamerpic. Unfortunate timing!

 

Same problem too. I have not power cycled because I came here first only to find people saying they tried that.

 

I am having the same issue. Went ahead and tried saving again to no avail. Haven't power cycled for above reason - others tested, and didn't approve. FIRST DAY WITH daONE and the silly avatar pictures aren't working! wth 'soft

 

Are any of you in the preview program?

 

Also try this, once you have everything saved, hit the home button. Hit the menu button on the controller, then select quit.

Open the avatar editor again.

 

i am having a problem with my avatar gamer picture i was trying to save my created gamer picture and it said something went wrong

 

when i try to save my avatar it says gamerpic saved but then when i hit the home button it doesnt change

This is effecting Save Gamerpic for both my wife and myself. Every time, from every approach / convoluted UI loop. ERROR 0x854f0000. Not much else to tell. Seems like it could be a Universal Bork.

To be clear, choosing "Save gamerpic" always results in the following:

- Circle of Loading spins in the middle of the screen.

- Right-analog stick, 2 bumpers, and 2 triggers continue to function.

- Able to reach the Dashboard

- After 30 seconds, error bar states "Something went wrong: Give it another try. If this happens again, let us know by entering 0x854f0000 at xbox.com/errorhelp so we can investigate. [Close]"

- Going to referenced URL and supplying the error code results in no knowledge base articles.

I have a Gold account. My wife has a former Gold account (auto-magically downgraded by discontinuation of the old family plan). Brand new X-Box One -- without Kinect; decided to upgrade from a 360 on Saturday morning for a store promo. Not really impressed
so far TBH. Bad timing all over the place :-D

Please add me to the list, I did change the pic when I logged in to my brand new xbox one for the first time the other day, could that have something to do with the issue? I really would like to have my avatar instead. Thanks!

 

Now that I have posted to this thread I see my "360" gamer pic, perhaps that could have something to do with it?

 

I have been having this same issue and error code for past few days. It shows the pic i made with xbox games app 4 win8 but its too small so went to make new one now that i have actual xbox and same error. Lets save2 one drive but not set as gamerpic.

I'm going to quit school because I can't update my gamerpic either. I get the same error - 0x854f0000.... I hope there's help for me.
