Xbox One error code: 0x800701f8

I've had some success this afternoon getting games to install by doing the following.

1. Sign out of your account on your XBox One up at the top left

2. Go into "My Apps & Games"

3. Restart the installations that have stopped.

So far I've been able to finish downloading Halo MCC, Titanfall and a couple of random XBox Live freebies by doing this (that's the beauty of NBN fibre to the home).

I live in Canada and have been having the same issue. Been trying to download the Halo: MCC update, highest it's managed to get was 3%.

This seems to be working for me too - couldn't get past 1% previously. Currently at 6%. Looks like you can only download when NOT signed into Xbox Live.

As of last night I can confirm I was able to successfully download the Halo patch. So it seems to be fixed for me.

I have AC Unity queued up to download so will report back if that's successful.

I got BF4 Second Assault downloaded without interruption about 9.30pm AEDT Tue. Must've started working sometime after 6pm AEDT as when I tried then it didn't work.

For time stamp reference the AEDT now is 9.33am Wed.

For me too it seems to be fixed. Thanks heaps. My last 4 days were so frustrating trying to download a whole library of patches onto a new machine. It is so sweet now I can even buy new content now knowing I can download it.

In Australia and have been trying to download the latest updates for games this past week or so but I don't even get a prompt to do so! This is really getting frustrating.

All my updates have gone through now, including downloading AC Unity in full (via the download code). So seems completely fixed for me.

Same issue. I noticed while I was playing BF4 that the download was relatively stable. Most of the time my Titanfall download would go from queued to downloading then to Installation Stopped! within a minute or two and I might get 2 minutes worth of downloads
once in 5 attempts. Tedious.

I found that when I loaded Peggle2, I could download for about an hour uninterrupted then I had to restart the download again but quitting Peggle2, restarting it then kicking off the download again. Managed to get Titanfall installed in under a day with
only minimal restarts (as opposed to literally hundreds to squeeze out a couple of hundred MB).

I'm with you JC, the thing that added insult to injury was the lack of response from XBOX.

And you're right too TallO, this error code has existed for near 6 months so why hasn't it been added to the error code page? This is another task for you XBOXsupport - people go to that page first as directed to do so by their XBOX and there's nothing?

Would help if you updated to include this one now.

Thankyou for finally responding. I really hope this can be addressed quickly as the last 5 days have driven me crazy. Not playing games won't kill me but the time wasted chasing my own tail trying to fix this has been extremely frustrating.
