    Same. Was playing The Vault of Glass on Destiny last night, decided to take a break and when I turned my console back on. It wouldn't show me any friends, I couldn't view profiles and this is just annoying.

    My xbox still makes this stupid coil noise which I'm hoping the October update fix's and now I have this error which I got last night and is still happening ... what the hell.

    I had the problem on my Xbox one so i held the power button for 10 sec then waited about 2 minutes and then turned my xbox back on and now i can see my friends list and everything is working! hope this helped!

    Hey, everyone! As CynicalDrew stated, we had a service alert up about this. This thread was originally a bit old. If you are still unable to manage your friends list or messages, please hold the power button on your console for 10 seconds and try again.
    If it is still not working, please post up a new thread detailing what you're running into so we can get you some individual support. Xbox One Error 0x87c40001 :)
