Xbox One & Entertainment for All - I'm Stuck

Here's the scoop: Back in Feb. 2013, I bought the Xbox 360 with the Entertainment for All discount. This involved the standard 2-year contract. I purchased the Xbox One in November and had no issues logging into Xbox Live for roughly 6 months- give or take
a couple weeks. Recently, I stopped being able to log in to my Xbox Live account on the Xbox One. I finally got around to contacting support last night. I was told by a (very) polite customer support agent, via chat, that my Xbox Live account was having trouble
recognizing my Xbox One, but that her supervisors were working it out, and I would have a solution within 24 hours or so. Here's the email I just received:

You have contacted us about an issue with your 2yr-Entertainment plan bundled with your XBOX 360 S console. Please know that the subscription is only limited to bundles that are eligible for it.

• • The Xbox 360 4GB Console with Kinect, the Xbox 360 250GB Console with Kinect, and the Xbox 360 250GB console are available for this offer. Special Edition consoles are not available in this program.
    

The ineligibility of this program may also include your XBOX One console. Though your subscription is active and you can download your profile to your XBOX One console, you may not be able to use the subscription to your XBOX One because
this is only intended for XBOX 360S.

Naturally, I'm a little perplexed. The ineligibility of this program "may" include my Xbox One? What does that mean? I used my Xbox One with the same subscription for months with no problems. Judging by this response, I must've been exploiting some unspoken
loophole that was closed in the last few weeks. I was actively buying/downloading games, using apps, and somebody decided I shouldn't be able to do that anymore, I suppose?

Thinking I could do something- anything- to get online on the Xbox One, I bought a 2-year prepaid Xbox Live code via Amazon. I quickly found out, via error code searches, that I couldn't extend my Xbox Live subscription as long as the Entertainment
for All contract was active, which meant waiting until February with no access to Xbox Live.

My last resort was to terminate my Entertainment for All contract- incurring a $72 ETF. After I did that, still no luck- I'm getting the same error codes on both the Xbox One and on Xbox.com whilst attempting to enter my two-year prepaid code. So I'm stuck.

Anyone else found a resolution to something like this (short of just creating a new account)? I've already gone the chat support route, to no avail. Searching the forums, I haven't found any references to the Entertainment for All plan not porting to the
Xbox One. And I just can't fathom why it would work for so long and then simply stop. Moreover, I've bitten the bullet and terminated the contract- shouldn't I be free to enter a prepaid code as I please now?

Any guidance is much appreciated.

Entertainment for All Plan vs Xbox One

Well the question was mainly regarding the Entertainment for All consoles. For example, those that recently got their 360's this year... Are we stuck with these consoles even way past the release of the Xbox One. I got mine in February... meaning it hasnt
even been a year yet. And the Entertainment for All plan is a 2 year "contract".

 

What do you want? An all in one entertainment box or a gaming box?

Just saying but it would be silly for the Xbox One not to be an all in one entertainment system. I find it quite funny also that the NES aka 'Nintendo Entertainment System' was classed as an entertainment system. I'm an Xbox fan and to be honest I'm happy
about everything about it (before and after the policy changes).

Thanks for the speedy response. I had another go-round with support yesterday, and I was told to wait 24-48 hours for a resolution. To add another layer to the onion, I was told that- even though I've paid the Early Termination Fee- I may still be prohibited
from accessing Live on my Xbox One because of... drumroll... Best Buy.

I've been combing through the fine print of the Entertainment for All contract, and can't find any reference to Xbox 360 exclusivity. Moreover, there's certainly no reference to Best Buy being able to hold my Xbox Live account hostage. Not sure where that
whopper came from.

All things considered, I'm really surprised to find no mentions of similar situations on these boards.
