Xbox One Emulator Issue - Looking to find a solution

Ok, I'm a little unsure what you have or have not done, so I'll describe how I play 360 games on my Xbox One and hopefully this will help you out.

I load up my Xbox One

Go to "My Games and App" (there is an icon on the dashboard)

Click on Xbox 360 Games (There should be a button at the top right labelled "Xbox One Games" click on it and one of the options will be Xbox 360 Games)

Then click on one of the games that you want to download

If its a game that you own on a disc, just put the disc into the Xbox One and it will download it onto the Xbox One.

That's it, now downloading of Xbox 360 profiles (your Xbox One profile is your Xbox 360 profile)

Try this

Load up any xbox 360 backwards compatible game

once loaded hit the start and select buttons at the same time (small little buttons on either side of the big xbox button on controller) this will bring up the 360 guide

once that comes up it should give you a choice to download profile and once you click on that it should ask for your email and password for your account once you put those in it should work for you.

Unfortunately, regardless of the game, it would still require an emulation solution (to emulate the 360 Arcade Version) or a direct re-porting of the game to be compatible with Xbox One. On the Xbox One, there is no longer a distinction between the Arcade
games and retail games, they are essentially all looked at the same way by the Xbox and the Live Servers. So, unfortunately, games which were purchased on the Xbox 360 Arcade will not be available in the Xbox One store unless an Xbox One specific version is
released by the developer, or in the event that MS one day develops, for example, a cloud-gaming solution.

I found a solution using another emulator software. I'm now using a PS4 controller with an Xbox one emulator that runs in the background.

The Xbox 360 controller is picked up by Windows 10, but is still not picked up by a selection of games. (the absurdity of a competitor piece of hardware with a freeware emulator working while the official piece of hardware from the publisher that offers the
platform, subscription and game doesn't is beyond me but hey, it works)

While looking online for a solution, I found quite extensive amounts of complaints reporting similar issues, in particular with Xbox exclusive games ported to PC. (all multi-platform games run fine and pick up both controllers)

The game pass adds another layer of issues as the games are installed in a folder where you don't have the rights you have otherwise preventing you to run .exe files from that folder. Quite some emulators require that they are ran from that particular folder.

My issue is solved, but I hope Microsoft can implement a more structural fix for this by the time the game pass for PC comes out of Beta.

I looked for an original Xbox emulator and no ones got one of those working yet
