Xbox One Elite diaxontinued

My friend was wanting to get an Xbox One Elite and while shopping was told by a GameSpot employee that the Elite was having a high failure rate of the sshd drive and that Microsoft was ending production of the Elite Model. Talked him into the Xbox One instead.
True or BS ?

At the budget have you considered the Thrustmaster TX? Its suppose to be much better.

Its worth keeping an eye on Fanatec on Black Friday, it will cost more but it will be far superior and will hold its value.

We couldn't speculate on what retailers are doing as far as stock is concerned. As to the Xbox One Elite model, we've not been seeing any reports of an issue like that with the SSHD's. As Genesis1953 stated, they are still available for sale through the

Xbox one s IS compatible with Xbox one elite controller so if you don't like the Xbox one s then use the elite controller.
