Xbox One Elite Controller

Please allow me a moment to attempt to convey how irate I am with this purchase, this controller, Microsoft, and the customer service department.

Issue: Xbox One Elite Controller is broken.

Pertinent: I bought this with the Elite console, this is my second Xbox One, and 6th Xbox console through generations.

My Problem: Let's not forget the three month warranty on all accessories that is absolute garbage when you spend nearly $200 dollars on the Elite Controller before taxes, but let's also keep in mind fact that when you purchased the Elite console, you have
two products IN THE SAME BOX, that have different warranties. That seems like an issue. Does it not?

From top to bottom: I bought the Elite console bundle with Elite controller on 11/8/15. So here I am, loving the console, loving the controller... I use the controller only intermittently, and I am very meticulous about it's care. I don't drop or act
rough with my electronics. A few days before the 12 month anniversary of my purchase and the right bumper broke on the Elite Controller. Didn't drop it. Didn't roughhouse with it. Took it out to play with it and the right bumper was not operating properly.
Turned the controller over, and the RB button just fell out!

Point: The Xbox warranty on the console is 12 months. The Xbox warranty on accessories is 3 months. If the controller or the Kinect comes with the bundle, apparently it doesn't matter to Xbox, despite the fact that the console in the box says 12 months.
Lest we forget that at time of purchase, with my inquisition, the sales person tells me that the purchase has a 12 month manufacturer's warranty.

Conclusion: Microsoft, Xbox... you should make amends here. I'll have everyone here know that after 12 hours of online and telephonic chat, the customer service agent advised that I formally file a 'Notice of Dispute' with Xbox. I have set this in motion.
I would advise all of you with broken controllers to pursue this avenue. If we all pursue what's right (a 12 month warranty for Xbox's premium merchandise) than we may all benefit from filing.
