Xbox one elite controller syncing problem

My Xbox controller has been randomly disconnecting from my xbox for no reason so i went to update the firmware on it but it failed trying to do the update so now its stuck in sync mode and i cant get it to sync back to retry the update.

I am also having this same problem. Have to pull the power cord on my xbox one and then start it up again for it to sync with my elite controller

Hey Dol -

Have you tried connecting your Xbox Elite controller to your Xbox One console via USB to force a sync? If that doesn't work, it sounds like getting your Elite controller repaired will be next option. Here is information on

I have a white Elite V1 controller, and a standard Xbox One Bluetooth controller. Both get used a lot because one is synced to my console, and one to my PC.

Try connecting it with the cable and see if it syncs up.
