Xbox One Elite Controller Series 2 - Unresponsive RB button

I got an Series 2 Elite Controller for Christmas in 2019 and just a few months ago (around March) the RB button started to become progressively unresponsive until today where it barely works at all. I've gone into the accessories app and tested the controls
and when I hold the RB button it flickers between being pressed and not responding before going totally unresponsive and the cycle repeats if I let go and hold it again. I've tried troubleshooting and checking the firmware version as suggested in another thread
and nothing has worked. It's been less than a year and I'm worried I will have to spend a few hundred dollars to replace it due to a malfunction. Is there any other way to possibly fix it or is my controller a goner?

My elite series 2 rb button doesnt work and i cant find a replacement button how do i fix this

Microsoft knew the controllers were defective and still sold them as a good product. they wont do anything to fix your controller because its most like out of warranty thats why the warranty was so short. The whole elite series 2 was a scam

I have the same proboem with my elite series 2 i got it on christmas as a gift and i hot home from school a few weeks ago and my RB was completly unresponsive and i’ve done nothing that could of caused that

I'm nit sure though my elite series 2 had some issues, I had unresponsive buttons and stick drift, I took mine back to the store, but they had not elite controllers in stock I got the Razer ultimate edition instead and I'm loving it at the moment

Last month i bought a normal xbox one controller and the RB button suddenly started jumping 2 places everytime i clicked it and it wasnt useable so i went out and bought an elite series 2 controller and the exact same thing has happened with this
after a week of using it so if you dont get what i mean say im on the home screen tab and i click the RB button it would jump to the Mixer tab instead of going 1 place to the game pass tab anyone know why this happens

Same, after using my elite series 2 since it came out on Day 1, my RB doesn’t respond. When i click it with a slight touch on my LB, it responds, but when I do the same press, it doesn’t respond. This started happening 2 days ago out of nowhere. Any fixes?
