XBOX ONE Elite controller right analog stick malfunction

Hey, I've had an elite controller pretty much since it came out. The only issue i hahad with it was the analog stick module malfunctioning after constant use

I've had issues with the analog sticks on my elite controller after a year of use. They should extend the warranty or something because this issue is common and linked to the crappy analog sticks they put in there controllers.

The same thing just happened to me. My RB wasn't working so they sent me a controller with a nasty stick drift on the right analog. I will NEVER buy a elite controller again.

I was having the same issue with my left analog stick. I took it apart (which is pretty easy) and noticed that there was excessive wear on the neck of the stick. It had a groove in it and the top plate for the controller also had some wear. I play fps games
such as Call Of Duty. So my left stick gets all the "abuse". What I ended up doing was swapping the left side with the right side and positioned the damaged part of the stick facing me. Because the right stick doesn't get nearly as much use and I don't run
backwards very often, lol. I've played with it a few times since and it seems to be working. And it was so bad that even just casual use like in the browser it would drift horribly. Hope this helps you or anyone else having this problem.

As an Elite controller owner myself you did exactly what I would've done by going into the Accessories app and testing the sensitivity curve through the configuration. That data is good because generally the two indicators that show the actual distance the
analog stick is registering compared to what is actually being moved physically, tells you the difference in input when customizing the sensitivity curve.

Through your testing, the issue more than likely lies in the circuitry of the controller causing this added input with your right analog stick. In your example I'm guessing you play PUBG and this is where it is occurring but do you notice this same effect
in any other shooters you play?

If it happens no matter what game you play, then it's an issue with the internal components of the right analog stick and would need to be set up with an exchange if the controller is still in warranty.
