Xbox One Elite controller problem

Please help cuz im freaking out. I just purchased the Elite console last Tuesday and now the controler is giving me issues and Im hoping someone can tell me if this is normal or a faulty controller. I just noticed this just now and dont remember it being
like this but the Left thumbstick sticks into place when pressed down and when I take off the thumb piece it clicks back up right. I dont remember it doing this at all the first few days and Ive been changing out diffrent sticks finding the right fit. Tonight's
the first night something felt off while playing and I noticed the stick stuck lower and when I pulled off the nub it pulled the rocker ball up with a click. Can someone please let me know if theirs does this or do I need to take it back?????

Xbox One X Project Scorpio Edition stops responding

So, I see we are the only two people with the Xbox One X that are having this problem. One question I have for you, are you using the Elite controller? It seems Xbox support has no answers except to power down, power up, reboot the router, make sure everything
is upgraded, on one leg and swing a rubber chicken over your head, etc... The only time I have this problem of no response is when using the Elite controller with the X. When I switch over to the standard controller I have no problem. If I use the Elite on
my Xbox One day one edition with the Elite I have no problem.

Unfortunayely it's a factory issue, i do not have this problem with my elite controller but 2 of my friends have it.

For the money I spent on the "Elite" console there seems to be nothing "Elite" about it. For $500 i would expect it to last longer then the 6 days Ive had it. Gamestop is totally on board with helping me out with an exchange but their hands are tied since
this was released with such limited qualities and if they do get any in it will be outside the 30 day grace period so i guess my only option is send it to MS and im sure MS is just hoping I buy a new controller in the mean time while I pay them to fix their
product so in the end they just win And im sure once they fix it and send it back it will never be right and it will never be the same and probably brake again, and again, and again....what a fool I was for buying such junk.

 

You don't have to pay them to fix it, it's under warranty. I'm still trying to figure out what is going in with yours, is it like the stick get stuck in the "down" or clicked position?

If you go to the Xbox service center you can request a repair on the controller, it stinks that you are having issues.

 

I've bought the Xbox One Elite Bundle recently too and I've noticed a slight aim dragging that's been going on with my elite controller. My right thumb stick would drift to the right ever so slightly whenever I rest my thumb on neutral position. It's really
hard to aim with precision if my aiming always goes to the right all the time. You can really notice this when you mess with the xbox sensitivity on the sticks via the xbox elite controller app. I mean, isn't this suppose to be an "Elite" controller? It's
been bothering me a whole lot but luckily I have an extra wired controller until I have to wait for a replacement.

Anyways, to the topic creator, you should be able to send in a replacement for the controller for free. It's still under warranty. Just make sure you have everything like the paddles, extra sticks, the plug-n-play wire, and d-pad when you return it.
