Xbox One Elite Controller - Price?

I swear when I looked back a few months ago, Amazon.com and Game.co.uk were advertising the controller between £99.99 to £119.99?

Now its released its double that? What are the reasons for this?

I want to buy one can anyone justify the price to me, and let me know whether it is worth buying?

Additionally is the controller a 'limitied edition'?

it is a hard one mate, i think it will come down a tenner still, most of it is warranty, ya have to think the more fiddly bits to it the more it could go wrong and they have to cover that some how. thats how i see it anyway. But MS are always good when it
comes to hardware. Im still seeing it at £119 im argos and other places. I think it will essentially have to come down slightly because of greater demand, the problem is they're churning out so many of these limited edition controllers like the halo ones and
the lunar, now the ones with the audio jacks in and its just too much.

 

The controllers RRP is £119.99 but it's sold out everywhere so people are selling them for £200+. On the Microsoft store they're £119.99.

 

I just picked one up from GameStop.co.uk when they got a few more back in stock yesterday, they had them for £99.97

 

It's called 'profiteering'. Unfortunately, it happens a lot in this day and age. Chances are the people who are selling them way above the RRP haven't even got any. They sit and wait until a retailer will have them in stock, buy a load in bulk, then sell
them on for a ridiculous profit.

 

Really, I did'nt realise they were that expensive can't see myself buying an xbox one anytime soon.

 

I was lucky enough to get one by pre-order yes it's expensive but if and when you actually get one you'll understand why, not just the amazing amount of configurations: thumb sticks, paddles and sensitivity adjustments but the actual build and weight of
the thing. But that's why it sold out I guess.
