Xbox One Elite controller out of warrenty repair

I have a friend who has the elite controller with the problem that the pads in the back pealed off and analog stick drift and he got an out of warrenty repair from Microsoft due to how many xbox one elite controllers came defective. My xbox one elite has
had bad analog stick drift issues for a long while and it makes playing games difficult. I want to know how to request an out of warrenty repair for my xbox one elite controller.

The best thing to do would be to contact xbox support by going to support.xbox.com/contact-us

To reach out to a support agent,go to
Contact Usto request a callback, follow these steps:

Step 1 ----Select Xbox One
Step 2 ----Select See other options
Step 3 ----Select topic
Step 4 ----Select "Show contact options"
Step 5 ----Select request a call from support

Once they call, explain the issue and they will be able to help you.

Did you try updating the firmware on ur controller? I had this happen to two of my xbox elite controllers aswell one of them was a wolferine elite, it wont update firmware on xbox, or pc. They were wired, and it was the wire inpluck that was broken. Hope
you figure it out, before warrenty runs out
