    XBox One Elite Controller not working for majority of games on PC.


    Seems to me that most PC games that already have native support for the 360 or the standard One controller Do not properly detect the Elite controller.

    I can start the game up with the elite controller plugged in and not get any response from the controller in the game and the gampad options are usually grayed out, indicating that it has not detected a gamepad. But I can immediately unplug the Elite controller,
    and plug in a standard 360/One controller and it works.

    So far these games I can confirm do not detect the Elite controller.

    Dishonored.

    Crysis

    Metro 2033

    And I'm sure many more to come.

    Also, while you're at it. I would you like you to fix it so that when using the Elite controller on PC, each of the paddle buttons are treated as independent buttons able to be bound directly instead of just being a clone of one of the other buttons on
    the controller. Make it 4 EXTRA buttons, not just a convenience feature that moves buttons.

    For the price you are charging. I'm disappointed in how limited it's turning out to be.

    Check reviews. Majority are bad. Most of the grips come off and buttons break very easily.

    Looks as though it was made to break.

    Just so you are aware, I did successfully use the controller on Descent 3. With a little bit of help from, Xpadder. Very minimal. Had to change the triggers, but everything else stayed default. All paddels working, etc.

    So it's not an issue with the controller not working at all.

    I'm fairly certain it is only an issue with games that already have native support for previous controllers.

    And another thing.

    You could have easily shipped the product with the 4 paddles attached and 4 more replacements slotted into the the rubber pack.

    What are your plans for providing replacment/extra paddles?

    Because I already wish I could experiement with a 4 large or 4 small configuration.

    Gears of war 4 is coming, and now.. So am I.

    I think the majority of new controllers also work on PC. I think I read somewhere that the elite controller works with Windows. But I might be wrong.

    What wireless adapter is needed to connect xbox elite controller to windows 10?

    i know this is his question but he said elite controller to a adapter not a regular xbox one controller on the link it says how to connect adapter from pc to xbox one controller he needs a elite controller adapter because all he is finding is regular xbox

    Hi Neecko92,

    Seems like the only workaround now is to connect your Elite controller to a Xbox One console, and update your Elite controller via the Xbox One console. Then it will work on your PC again.
