Xbox One Elite Controller Issues (Gears4 LE)

To begin, I must say that I'm not really impressed with the long lasting quality of the elite controllers for the Xbox One. I have purchased two of these controllers and have had issues with both of them.

The first elite controller I purchased was the original one. After just one month of use, the rubber on the back handles of the controller were starting to unstick (both sides). To not have to go through the hassle of customer service and try to get them repaired,
I figured "no big deal", bought some crazy glue and stuck them back together. Problem solved. Two weeks later, the left stick started making weird noises when used but by that time, Microsoft announced the Limited Edition Gears4 Elite controller, so didn't
do anything about it. I pre-ordered that beast, and gave the controller to my little brother ( still works fine, however the left stick is still making noises when used).

I received the Gears4 controller on October and hoped that the issues I had with the previous one was simply bad luck. Nope. One month after receiving it, again, the rubber on the back handle of the controller (just the right side this time) started to unstick.
Again, relied on my crazy glue and got the job done. Fast forward another month and a half, and the right bumper started giving me trouble. The clicking sound it normally makes when pressed is now non-existent and I need to press dead center for it to work
(I'm used to pressing it at the very edge when gaming). A day later, it has become extremely loose, to the point that when I put my controller upside down, it's close to loosen itself completely from the controller (I can see the inside of the controller).
You can even tell that it's not properly aligned to the controller with the naked eye.

I personally do not mistreat my controllers, nor have I ever dropped them accidentally on the ground. I also do not game 24/7, to the point that my controller would wear off so easily. ****, my Day One Xbox One controller still works fine to this day with no
issues whatsoever.

At this point, I'm saddened to have invested so much money on sub-par products and am looking to find out how to go about to get this rectified.

I'm assuming you are talking about this:

This simply seems to be a regular Elite controller with a Gears of War motif. I'm sure it's using the same innards as the current Elite controllers (with no Bluetooth).

It does raise a little confusion since it comes with a GoW-skinned Xbox One S, and this is the type of console that would regularly come with a bluetooth controller.

My money is on NO, this controller will
likely not feature bluetooth. If it had bluetooth, that functionality would be advertised somewhere on the

store page, but I'm not seeing it anywhere. There's also no new announcements (as far as I know) about the Elite controller hardware being revised.

My one problem is, is that my working Xbox One stereo headset unit with mic is not detecting my voice but .

My Gears of War 4 Elite LE Controller was delivered yesterday, direct from Sydney Microsoft Store.

My one problem is, is that my working Xbox One stereo headset unit with mic (tested on other controllers and is working normally) is not detecting my voice.

What I have tried is: Updating the controller, with and without the headset inserted. Connected the controller via USB (tried with 2 cables).

I have let the controller sit overnight with no power source at all.

I have swapped between 2 different Xbox rechargeable battery units.

Connected the controller via USB to my Windows 10 PC.

Have hard reset my Xbox One Gears of War Edition multiple times.

Tested the mic through various party chat sessions, even in the party alone. (When I use another elite controller and standard controller, it works fine).

I have re-synced the controller several times, even to my other Xbox One Slim and connected it via USB.

I'm all out of idea's.
