Xbox one elite controller issue

Hi all,

So I just purchased an elite controller about 6 days ago. I've played on it with 0 issues until yesterday. I was playing gears after a pretty heavy session(4 5 hours) and the controller just cut off. Wouldn't power on, removed battery and replaced still
nothing. I plugged in usb and started working normally again.

So should I just be happy its working and leave it at that or should I return and Exchange for a new one? I thought the thing was bricked but it seems to be working today but havnt really been gaming with it.

Anyone have any advice? When headset is plugged in I hear crackling and popping also, don't know if that adds to defective controller as well or its normal

return it get a new one, I own one with 0 problems so far had it for months.

Is there a difference between the Bluetooth on the Elite and the one on the regular Xbox one controllers. My other controllers connect without an issue, but not the Elite.

I would recommend the standard Xbox One controller, I had same issue with my Elite controller. Also check and see if your Elite controller is still under warranty.

Thanks for reaching out to us in the forums for this issue. Actually, our Elite controllers have a full 1-year (12 months) warranty, unlike our other controllers. If you're Elite controller is acting strange, then you can try the following
in regards to troubleshooting:

If you've been troubleshooting, but the issues seem to remain (and you haven't had the controller that long), I'd recommend you request
a controller replacement.
