Xbox One Elite Controller Issue

I was fortunate that I got one for valentines day from my wife yesterday. However, when I use the "Instant" option the character/or cursor in Destiny moves erratically, so for example I can't run in a straight line as it will vier off diagonally to the
forward/left or forward/right. In menu's the same behavior is shown with the cursor on screen. I tried the controller with the "Aggressive" setting and all works as it should with no issues. I have fully updated the controller. Anyone have any ideas as to
why this might be happening? I guess this has to do with the dead zone but wondered if I had faulty hardware that I should look to get replaced.

get off of the aggressive setting destiny is not compatible with it

i have a elite controller tried the same setting and destiny doesnt like it one bit

i would recommend the standard setting here is how you do that and make a custom key map for destiny thats bullet proof.

1. go back to regular analog stick control like i said the aggressive doesnt work

2. Attach 2 only paddles one on the left and one on the right these will become your lock on and fire.

3. flip the switch on the right trigger and the left trigger this will prevent long travel and help with the paddles to respond faster via firmware update

ok are you ready to customize here is how to do it

save a new customization call it destiny

go to button mapping press and hold the right paddle until the icon on the screen changes then press the right trigger you now have set fire

while in button mapping press and hold the left paddle until the same icon comes up and press the left trigger.

now save the option into slot 2 or 1 your choice.

now remove the stock analog sticks and go for the medium ones not the tall ones

now your controller is ready to rock destiny style

and it works amazing with this configuration i can run across the map target head shots and keep running with flippers totally amazing

 

Super disappointed in Microsoft, had to set up a repair order for my elite controller. they don't provide shipping labels, so after spending 550 dollars on an elite system, on top of the money I spent on the day one edition Xbox back when it came out, and
$64.11 to buy a new controller why I wait for them to repair my elite controller, they are making me pay for shipping on it. So technically I have to pay 85 dollars to keep gaming while you fix your mistake. Just blows my mind that your equipment is faulty
and I have to come out of pocket to correct it, after all the money I spent to begin with. When I was talking to your customer support I told them I should be compensated in some form or another for having to spend $80 out of pocket because of your faulty
equipment. They tell me they don't do that. I was like for real? Her exact words to me was that's how we roll! Feel like I just got ran up on and robbed! Very disappointed in this whole experience, after all this is said and done, wont be giving you my money
anymore. Customer service is dying more and more, as well as quality of products....
