Xbox one Elite controller help.

First of all, I do not have a Xbox one and I'm new to it. I need information because I'm thinking about getting an Xbox one.

1. Are the paddles just extra buttons. Like for an example could I just have paddle 1 as the A button or something?

2. I read the description of the hair trigger locks, but I still don't understand what they do.

Problem with serial number !

i also wish to register my elite controller but get the error.

xbox one registered ok but elite controller serial number too long so shows invalid.

any help would be appreciated.

1. Yes, they are extra buttons. You can configure the paddles the way you like them. So yes, you can just use one paddle and make it the A button. A small tip: what a lot of people tend to do with the paddles is use all 4 of them and make those the A, B,
X and Y buttons, so you will never have to take your right thumb off of the right thumbstick to press those buttons! Really helpful in shooter games. But like I said, just use them the way you want to!

2. The Trigger Locks/Stops prevent your triggers (LT and RT)

from going all the way down like they normally would. This means that you can use the triggers faster because it takes less time for the trigger to go up and down. This is helpful for any type of game, but will again help you the most in shooter games. If
you don't like it, and want your triggers to work like they normally would, you can easily click the switch on the back of the controller to change the trigger mode.
