Xbox One Elite Controller Finish Rubbing Off

Hello. The finish from an Xbox One Elite Controller I received last Xmas has begun to wear off around the points where the face meets the A and B buttons. The controller would be 13 months old and other than the finish wearing off is in great condition.
I've had a number of other controllers since the day the console came out and none exhibit this issue and would expect the much more expensive Elite controller to hold up as well.

Is there any chance or arranging an exchange of the controller?

Elite controller

I really like my new Elite console and Elite controller.

My Day One console was a scratch magnet due to the piano black finish so am enjoying the matt black finish.

Elite controller is heavy and well made so I expect it to last a long time.

Check reviews. Majority are bad. Most of the grips come off and buttons break very easily.

Looks as though it was made to break.

I'm on my second Elite controller in less than a year due to "Stick Drift" so if your finish is maring a little bit I'd consider yourself lucky. These things undergo a lot of wear and tear and incredible stress when you use them. Plus, the finish on the
Elite's a slightly textured finish that is sprayed on over an existing plastic body so, over time, the sweat and oil from your fingers will eat away at it. It's no consolation I know, but, a lot of others feel your pain. So much so that, like myself, have
had to either send it for repair or buy a new one. So, if it is still in 100% operable shape, that's a win for sure.
