Xbox one Elite controller drifting horribly

Hello, Last night (07/13/2016) I bought an xbox one elite and it came with the elite controller. I got the system and controller ready and updated but I noted that the controller kept drifting upward or it wouldn't respond on the left analog stick. I tried
resetting the controller, put in fresh batteries reset the system and made sure all updates were in place and it still drifts up to the point that I cant play games with this controller, the system however works great. Is there some other trick that I can
try to fix this or can I get a replacement please.

Not quite understanding what you mean by centerpoint. Is the controller drifting up? For steps on drifting controllers, check out our

Xbox One Controller Troubleshooter. Unfortunately for drifting issues, the controller would need to be repaired or replaced depending on your warranty status.

If you having these issues with a new purchase. Take it back and exchange it. There really is no fix for the stick drift you describe.

If the controller you bought was faulty and as Genesis said there is no proper solution we can recommend, as long as you have proof of purchase, the store should be able to sort something out with you being a customer, if they are unable to exchange it for
another and they cannot order another one in, then you can get a full refund and purchase it from another store. Sorry that you had a problem with the controller.

That is strange. I've only ever had stick drift on my old 360 controllers. I don't know if the standard Xbox one controllers have it, but the Xbox Elite controller sticks can be adjusted to have dead zones to avoid drift. Check in the Xbox Accessories
app if you can adjust it for normal controllers.

Have my elite controller set up and still drifts. Can't do standard controller. Did notice they drift worse on any COD.
