Xbox one elite controller discconecting when I put in mic.

alright this has only been happening for about a week. I used to use a wire but that stopped working as well. So when I start up my Xbox the controller works fine when browsing the home. I play a game and it's fine. As SOON as I Put my mic in it disconnects,
then I re connect it play again, pull the trigger an it disconnects. Anybody ever deal with this s before before? Any fixes?

Xbox one elite controller not supporting my stereo headset adapter mic functions

My stereo headset adapter will not recognize my mic on my headset when plugged into my new elite controller

I have updated the controller with the adapter plugged in

I have tested my headset on multiple devices to insure the mic is working fine

I have plugged my stereo headset adapter into my non-elite controller and the mic works just fine

And lastly my mic works just fine when plugged directly into the jack built into my elite controller

but for some reason it will not work at all when my stereo headset adapter is plugged into the elite controller and now i can not make use of the great audio options the adapter supports (mute, volume, ect.)

I suppose i should note that it is just the mic. I can hear audio fine through my headset when the adapter is plugged into my elite controller but the mic is not working and no one can hear me. Really annoying.

Would really love to know if anyone else has run into this problem with the elite controller or if an update is in the pipe line to fix it (as it is most assuredly a software problem in the controller).

I swear to god if anyone tells me its hardware or that i need to update again.....FIX THIS MICROSOFT

Hey there BM Canadian!

Since this first started, have you tried using a different headset with your controller or a different controller with your current headset? Trying one of those may help narrow this issue down as either being a controller or headset issue. Let us know

Try to discconect your xbox acc and then put it again!

I am using a battlefield one controller with a turtle beach ear force recon 30x. The controller has 3.5mm jack. I have also tried an older xbox controller with the mic that came with the xbox, along with a turtle beach elite pro plugged into my battlefield
controller. So I have tried various combinations of controllers and mics, and this does not seem to fix the problem.

hi my elite 2 controller don't respond anymore.

not one button, stick or paddles work but the controller is "on"= "home button" has light on...

i can't turn the controller off

when i open the accessories app there is only my standard controller displayed.

connecting to xbox with usb cable doing nothing

when i put them in the case: no "vibration"

on the elite 1 you can simply remove the battery but on elite 2 it's impossible.

is there a trick to turn the controller off and on?

Other than the combinations of the controllers/mics when was the last time you cleared your system cache? While your console is on, hold the power button on the front of the console for like 15 seconds, let go and turn it back on.
