Xbox One Elite Controller connectivity issues

Both of our Xbox One Elite controllers are able to connect but loose connectivity within moments of playing any of our games.

We've tried updating the controller, replacing the batteries, rebooting the console, clearing any metal objects that might interfere and also moving the wireless router out of the area. We've also tried using the wired USB connection cable without success.

We previously had an Xbox 360 and never had any of these issues, making me wonder why we shelled out the huge chunk of cash for this model.

Any support ideas greatly appreciated.

Xbox One Wireless Elite

The Elite controller does not have Bluetooth connectivity. The "S" controller has Bluetooth.

Xbox One controller connectivity issues

im having connectivity issues with my Xbox one controllers. Even when i plug them in via usb they still constantly disconnect and make it impossible for me to play games. Does any body have any suggestions besides sending my Xbox to get looked at?

How far away are your controllers from the console when you normally play? Also, while you stated you have removed metal objects in the way, is there anything else between you and the console? I'd clear out as many physical objects as possible, even if not
metal.

Just to bring in my personal experience, the Xbox One controllers have a far weaker wireless connection to the console compared to the Xbox 360 controllers. I remember I could take the latter controllers downstairs through many thick walls and closed doors;
you could call in a remote airstrike with these things. The Xbox One is located at the foot of my bed, and my Xbox One controllers disconnect if I so much as take them as far as the headboard of my bed. These controllers are the most sensitive devices to interference
I've ever owned.

That's just my two cents.

Same here.... This is garbage. Have Xbox One X Scorpion and Shelled $150 for a controller that has a known problem. Called support and MS told me to basically go screw myself.... In a nice way. ... Out of warranty and we don't work on it. Well thats some
nice customer service eh? Now MS is selling a new Elite 2 and you think I'm gonna buy this garbage?. No friggin way... Fix it MS.... Now!

Is there a difference between the Bluetooth on the Elite and the one on the regular Xbox one controllers. My other controllers connect without an issue, but not the Elite.

Have you by any chance attempted to connect the controller directly to the PC through a wired connection?

As well, you have mentioned that the controller that came with the Xbox One console is recognized on the PC, but that the elite controller is not recognized at all on the PC. This same elite controller, does it have any issues with connecting to the Xbox
One console?

i know this is his question but he said elite controller to a adapter not a regular xbox one controller on the link it says how to connect adapter from pc to xbox one controller he needs a elite controller adapter because all he is finding is regular xbox
one adapters to pc which he stated do not work for his elite controller

Hi Neecko92,

Seems like the only workaround now is to connect your Elite controller to a Xbox One console, and update your Elite controller via the Xbox One console. Then it will work on your PC again.

Have you tried connecting your Xbox Elite controller to your Xbox One console via USB to force a sync? If that doesn't work, it sounds like getting your Elite controller repaired will be next option. Here is information on
