Xbox One Elite Controller - Bluetooth

Will we ever see the Xbox One Elite Controller get Bluetooth installed into it? If yes, will owners of the current Elite controllers get the option to trade in or upgrade for a reasonable price?

Cannot link my Xbox One Elite Controler via Bluetooth

The Elite controller does not have Bluetooth.

Only the new revision of the regular Xbox One controller (released with Xbox One S systems) has a Bluetooth radio built-in.

Xbox One Wireless Elite

The Elite controller does not have Bluetooth connectivity. The "S" controller has Bluetooth.

There are no hints or plans (as far as I know) about the Elite controllers getting a bluetooth update, but it certainly is due for a new hardware revision like the standard controllers have been enjoying.

Is there a difference between the Bluetooth on the Elite and the one on the regular Xbox one controllers. My other controllers connect without an issue, but not the Elite.

I'm assuming you are talking about this:

This simply seems to be a regular Elite controller with a Gears of War motif. I'm sure it's using the same innards as the current Elite controllers (with no Bluetooth).

It does raise a little confusion since it comes with a GoW-skinned Xbox One S, and this is the type of console that would regularly come with a bluetooth controller.

My money is on NO, this controller will
likely not feature bluetooth. If it had bluetooth, that functionality would be advertised somewhere on the

store page, but I'm not seeing it anywhere. There's also no new announcements (as far as I know) about the Elite controller hardware being revised.

I want to clarify what controllers have Bluetooth and which ones don't so there is no confusion. The original controller accompanying the original Xbox One console or the original Xbox Elite Wireless Controller (Series 1) does not support Bluetooth. Controllers
made after 2017 and controllers accompanying the Xbox One S or Xbox One X console, Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2, or Xbox Design Lab controller support Bluetooth. A diagram showing what controllers have Bluetooth support and which ones don't can

If you have the original Elite controller, you cannot use that to connect to your phone via Bluetooth. If you have the Elite Series 2 controller, then you should be able to. The forums is a place to give advice or help troubleshoot an issue. If you have
a controller that supports Bluetooth, can you further explain what happens when trying to pair the controller to your mobile device? Do you have an Android or iOS mobile device?
