Xbox One Elite Controller analog stick base pops up when switching the stick on the left ...

I noticed this on my new elite controller when I switched the analog stick this morning. It seems to work fine when I push it back down. I checked my day one controller and I was able to pull it up like that, but on my other standard controller I was
not. I contacted chat support to try to see if this is an issue because of the hefty price tag and my 30 day return policy through Amazon. Once I finally convinced them its not software related they told me its a new feature on the controller and its fine.
I am not convinced they had a clue what I was talking about. Anyway mine seems to work fine when I just push it back down, and only happens when I pull up hard enough on the stick to swap it with another. I just wanted to know that this is not due to a defect
in my controller that will cause issues later on. If anyone is able to reassure this is normal I would really appreciate it!

Seriously microsoft this console is pathetic....

My left analog stick is looser than the right stick. I noticed that a couple of days ago. Figured it was because of COD. On my PS3 I went through 3 controllers with the left analog stick having issues. I had an issue with the controller on my 360 as well;
left analog stick. So it might be an issue not sure. I'll probably just buy another controller when they come out in different colors and go from there with it unless it gets worse.

Update: Well its continuing to get even more loose with regular use. Now if I turn the controller upside down it does it not just when I switch the stick. So it is clearly a defect. It would already be on its way back to Amazon, but they are out of stock.
I am considering just returning it for a refund. Either I have the worst luck with Xbox One Controllers or the Quality Control is horrendous. I know mass produced items have defects, but if you are going to charge 2.5 times the price of your standard controller
I would think you would make sure it works correctly. I have had to send in both of my other controllers to get fixed, and now this one is messed up after having it for a week even with the price. Every time its issues with the analog sticks. I am not even
hard on the controllers I still have original Xbox and Xbox 360 controllers that work perfectly with far more use. The controller would be perfect otherwise.

 

Bit late to this but just recently mines had exact same issue for my left. What it affects is registering 'up' (could affect more things just what ive noticed) direction, like scrolling inventory in fallout 4, could spam up 10 times but if i move the control
stick higher where it should be, ie pop it out, it registers fine. Meaning its not supposed to fall down like it does now, right stick is fine. No idea what caused this, just regular use? Might need to send it back but for now not a huge issue, could be for
me if I play phantom pain again. Moving snake effectively with the left stick is key...if it wont even register how im moving him Exactly....then there be problems

I ended up just getting a replacement from Amazon since I noticed it before the 30 day return policy was up. That one sent as a replacement has been fine. I would definently get it replaced soon if possible from the retailer. If its to late for that Microsoft
has a 90 day policy where you would have to ship it to them. Either way the controller should not do that with normal use especially for the price. I hope this helps.

This happens on mine as well, but I am past the Microsoft 90 day policy. Am I out of luck?

 

I would contact Microsoft. If they say its to late the only other thing I can think of is if you bought it with a credit card. Some credit card companies offer a double manufacturer warranty you can claim with them. Discover does this for sure.

 

I noticed my left analog was loose a few days after the 90 day mark. I'm on the phone with Microsoft. There is nothing they can do for me... "Elite"
