Xbox one elite controller 3.5mm audiojack

Hello,

I just cleaned my elite controller by removing the outer shell and used compressed air on it.

But when i assembled it back together i noticed when i connect my headphones trough the 3.5mm audiojack my headphones make a cracklingish sound..

I took it appart again and made sure the 3.5mm jack was correct in place, but no difference.

I took the 3.5mm jack out of a working controller and put it in my elite controller, but this also dident work..

I tested the headphones on other devices and they are working fine, also tested the cable so the headphones itself are not the issue..

Does somebody know what i did wrong, and how do i get rid of this cracking sound?

Unfortunately self repair and modifications can not be discussed in the forum.

The old Xbox One controller only featured an expansion port, newer controllers including the elite controller also feature a 3.5mm input where you can connect 3.5mm cables into.

So if your headset just requires a 3.5mm input then you can connect it without the stereo adapter if you have a newer model of the Xbox One controllers

Yes, it does have a 3.5mm headset jack and it should work with accessories like charging stations for Xbox controllers.

The 3.5mm headphone jack on Xbox One/Series X|S controllers (including Elite controllers) does not work when connected via Bluetooth. It will only work via USB or the official Xbox wireless adaptor.

Thanks for letting us know you're experiencing an issue with your Elite controller. Based on what you've stated about your 3.5mm headphone jack not working, I would like to know if you have done the

troubleshooting steps for the Elite controller from our Xbox support page? Or rather, how you came to the conclusion (what troubleshooting you have done) that the 3.5mm jack has stopped working?

If you have already done all troubleshooting and are certain that the headphone jack is no longer working, then I recommend

setting up a repair for your Elite controller since the headphone jack is an internal part of the controller body.
