Xbox One Elite Controler Stick drift

Hello,

My Xbox One Elite Control drifts up (left stick) it's making the controller unusable. How so I start the process for a Warranty replacement?

Controller analogue drift

thought it was just me but then saw this

My Day 1 controller is still going strong, but the limited edition TitanFall controller I bought developed this (although it was drift on my left stick). I used it as my main controller and put several hundred hours of use through it, but then I put hundreds more hours through my 360 controller and they never missed a beat.

This is one of the reasons I've gone for an Elite controller. Metal parts in the sticks mean there's virtually no wear on them and should last a long long time (better do for the money). Mostly the reason was for the paddles on the back and the customisable profiles, but there was a part of it that was due to the durability of the Elite (implied anyway as nobody's actually used one for years to know how durable they are).

Xbox Elite Controller thumbstick drift

same.

my 1st elite: crash gumi grips. send back to service, but i buy a new one for this 2 week. Try this new: right stick drift to right...

ok, my 1st elite came back, try this. left stick drift to right (fresh new controller from ms service)

ok i sent back this 2 broken Elites.

1-2 week done, get 2 new fresh Elites... tested... both new Elite's (my 3rd and 4th) left sticks drift to right...

my last 5 Elites broken, 3 fresh from Xbox Support. Thats a big joke.

This does not help. I could only register my xbox, not my contoller. I have this issue and both my Right & Left Bumpers broke. I am a moderate gamer who does not throw or miss use controllers. Lofty price tag for unit with a 1/3 shelf life of standard.

If you're not able to register your controller on the website after doing the console you'll need to speak with the chat or phone team for assistance in registering it and taking a look at Warranty options. They can also assist with troubleshooting steps
to determine if a repair/replacement is needed.

That is strange. I've only ever had stick drift on my old 360 controllers. I don't know if the standard Xbox one controllers have it, but the Xbox Elite controller sticks can be adjusted to have dead zones to avoid drift. Check in the Xbox Accessories
app if you can adjust it for normal controllers.

Have my elite controller set up and still drifts. Can't do standard controller. Did notice they drift worse on any COD.

I have two original elite controllers and one pf the new elite 2 controllers that I got my son for Christmas. They all have drift issues with the left sticks. I hd thought it would be addressed with the new version, but I guess not. Please help
make this right.

Unfortunately, stick drift seems all too common in this current generation on Xbox, on PS4, and even on Switch. I wonder if it's because so many games use the sticks at buttons as well, which is leading to extra pressure being exerted? I've lost many controllers
to stick drift, and looking at the forums and reddit, a lot of people are complaining about stick drift issues from day one with the Elite series 2. Fingers crossed that Xbox can address the issue for everybody affected by it.

I totally can feel the OP's pain.

I've gone through 3 Xbox One controllers (one being an Elite) with stick drift issues.

The stick drift happened outside of the warranty period - so I was basically SOL.

Good luck to those who bought these at launch and "haven't had any issues with it". It's just a matter of time before you guys experience stick drift.

I really like the XB1 controllers however they are not as durable as the 360 as my Xbox one controller has stick drift. And I've also heard people having issues with elite controllers breaking too
