    I had a day one edition of Xbox and it used to turn my Samsung Sound Bar HW-F450 On and off when I started the console no problem. When I would tell my Xbox to turn the volume up thought I had to say it twice for it to work. Now I have the Xbox Elite Console
    and for whatever reason my Xbox will not turn it on when it turns on my TV/Directv Receiver as well. It will turn it off, and it mute it/volume up/down when I repeat it twice very quickly. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Very annoying to have to
    turn the sound bar on by itself everytime considering it used to work for the most part on my older Xbox one.

    hi there, i have the same problem with my xbox one s. The samsung hwd450 sound bar does not turn on with xbox on command. also mute takes two voice commands to work

    Samsung Sound Bar

    I took the time to setup my sound bar and TV, but am running into two annoying problems. Is this just a feature limitation or what?

    1) I can control the volume by using the voice commands Xbox Volume Up, Xbox Volume Down. However; "Xbox Mute" has no affect at all. Why can I make it louder or quieter, but can't get it to mute the sound bar?

    2) When I say Xbox On, Xbox will turn on and it will turn on my TV, but it will not power up my sound bar. So I have to power it up separately. Maybe this and number one are tied together?

    Also, I put the right codes in, the right make and model for the sound bar. I took the sound bar off the wall, got the serial numbers, part numbers, looked everything up online, put it all into the Xbox One which had the right codes in it's own lists.
    It seems like this should be working.

    Any ideas?

    I want to bring this back from the dead. I have a samsung hw-f450za, and an LG TV. Xbone elite is able to control my satellite receiver and tv no issues. Everything is connected via HDMI. I tend to use my xbox media remote to control tv, volume, etc.
    i have to hit the volume, mute buttons twice to change it. problem is of course, when turning the console on and off, tv turns off, sat box turns off, but soundbar doesnt. also, through kinect commands, i have to say commands for volume and mute twice in
    quick succession.

    any fixes for this?

    Update. I've tried resetting my 'Devices' and nothing is working. Please address this or provide alternate codes that will resolve the issue.

    Sad to say, but the seamlessness of the Xbox One in regards to turning On/Off all of my A/V equipment with a single voice command was one of the most simple yet fantastic features it had. Now that's broken.
