Xbox one élite 1 TB air flow

Hi everyone, i have recently changed m'y Xbox one Day one to the new elite. Unfortunatly i have noticed a change in the air flow noise on the console main fan. At idle it is a bit more noisy but it is a regular sound whereas using my first one it was equaly
noiseless. I know Microsoft change the fan system. May anybody give an Answer? Thx.

X1 air flow

So I just relocated my X1.... junior is fascinated with the glowing X on the front side and thinks it's fun to press it repeatedly (lol..... I do put an end to his shenanigans asap!)... My X1 is placed in the middle shelf of a glass shelf unit. It is
opened on both sides, rear and front. There is another shelf above my X1. I have about a finger width of gap between the top of the X1 and the shelf. By no means is the X1 top completely blocked, but is a finger width gap adequate breathing for a X1?

So far so good...... no heating issues as of yet.

You'll here than fan more frequently when playing games to allow the heat to be pushed from the console so it doesn't overheat. If your idle your console might be updating games/ or apps which could cause the fan to kick in too. I wouldn't worry about it
as long as your console is working like normal and you don't hear any odd noises. Perfectly normal. Hope this helps!

One way to try and minimize the noise is to make sure that your Xbox is in a well ventilated area, free of clutter (i.e.e things on top, underneath or next to your Xbox). The better the ventilation, the cooler your Xbox will run at.

I would say that is not enough room. It's just going to blow back on itself. It will also heat up the entire area around it.

More than anything you need the hot air from the top vent to disperse properly, just be sure your X1 isn't sucking that hot air back into it's self.

if there is nothing blocking the sides, front and back it should be fine, but run it for a while and check it to make sure.
