    XBox One Eject Button stopped working - typical !


    Hi

    Season greetings , my son's Xbox One eject button has stopped working completely this morning.

    I've tried all the obvious , unplugging , resetting etc with no luck.

    We've used the paper clip option but need to find a solution , any guidance on possible repair options would be greatly appreciated ?

    Mine has done that since June and also makes beeping noises and automatically ejects discs, even when it's off! How do I fix it?

    @Loco: take a dry clean towel. Unplug the xbox and wipe down the power and eject buttons. The old finger prints sometimes can set it off

    It seems that you have 3 options here

    1.As "ThingOnAString"said make sure that there is nothing on the Eject button. also try wipeing the eject button with a DRY clean towel, with the console unpluged

    2.Just keep ejecting from the dashboard (yes its annoying but it works)

    3.Get a repair(Your console is only 6 months old. Your warrenty is still active :) you get a free repair that takes a month)

    My only suggestions are, check that there isn't a piece of tape or something over the eject button, sounds silly I know but my son decided it would be fun to place a piece of black insulation tape over the eject button on my console, took me a good hour
    to spot it while the little lout was laughing in his bedroom.

    Other than that you need to arrange a repair i'm afraid.
