Xbox one ease of access error. Voice to text service not available.

Hey! Appreciate your help. I just got my xbox brand new didn’t see anywhere in trouble shooting steps about restarting my xbox. So i restarted it and the voice to text feature began working again. I thought just turning off the console was restarting it
but apparently its not! I had no idea! But no, I’m speaking about the option where you pull up the keyboard and press the “select” button and it allows you to speak into the mic and create text. Not sure what its called but that thing wasn’t working. It is
now though. Thank you

Hello, regarding your question I believe voice to text feature was removed from Xbox along with cortana, so the replacement now being xbox assistant. I think this was a case of cause people from games like Rocket League would use that speech-to-text feature
improperly and get away with trash talking and bullying players without leaving text message proof that they were doing it.

To turn that on:

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
   
2. Select Profile & system > Settings > Ease of Access > Game and chat transcription.
   
3. To transcribe other party members’ voices into text, select the Speech-to-text checkbox.
   
4. To have your chat text read aloud to other party members, select the Text-to-speech checkbox. To choose the voice that other people will hear when your chat text is read aloud, select one of the available voices in the Text-to-speech voice menu.

2. To transcribe other players' voices into text, select Speech-to-text on.
3. To have your chat text read aloud to other players, select Text-to-speech on. To choose the voice that other players will hear when your chat text is read aloud, select one of the available voices in the Text-to-speech voice menu.
4. To have games read aloud certain words that appear on the screen, select Let games read to me.

On Windows 10

1. Open the Xbox app and go to Settings > General > Game chat transcription.
2. To transcribe other players' voices into text, select Speech-to-text on.
3. To have your chat text read aloud to other players, select Text-to-speech on.
4. To choose the voice that other players will hear when your chat text is read aloud, select one of the available voices in the Text-to-speech voice menu.
