Xbox One: DVR not consistently recording

I'm having the same problem as everyone else

I downloaded the May update thinking it would fix the problem, but it seems to be worse now

Snapping the DVR still doesn't work, and now after saying the "Xbox record that" command, not even a notification comes up claiming that a clip has been recorded

 

it does allow me to record more frequently since the may update on cod ghosts, but sometimes it wont work and i noticed when it doesnt work going to the main menu and back into the game fixes it. and the times it does not work there is no notification for
a clip even being recorded when i use the command "xbox record that" and then that command does not work and i try to manually record it with the dvr snapped i get an instant error code: 80004005, but since the update i never gotten the 0x80040212 error code
so i guess the may update was a step forward to the dvr feature always working.

 

the dvr feature has been working more frequently since the may update and i only notice it not working sometimes on cod ghosts, but it's still unreliable and when you say xbox record that sometimes nothing will pop up at all. and then if you try to snap
dvr and record you get an instant error: 0x80004005.

but going to the main menu on cod ghosts and going back into multiplayer fixes it for somereason or sometiimes quitting out of game dvr and upload will fix it

 

Worked one day randomly when i was playing FIFA 14 (before the may update) but up to know, no luck with recording FIFA 14 except the day I got the console and the day that it randomly started working that I mentioned earlier

 

Doesn't matter what I record, never works. Rarely shows up, if it does show up.... it's less then 2 seconds long, I make sure I warn those who want to purchase the Xbox One, that this feature doesn't work at all.

 

Hey folks want to post my problems here.

The Xbox "Record That" command has not worked right for months. I get the 0x820040212 and the other one about the video already being deleted. My actual DVR app also fails. I get this error when I try to record content: 0x82323012.

Prior to this week's update, I would get a notification upon XBOX RECORD THAT which would tell me the clip had been made. Then it would not open and claim it was deleted. Now, post update, it doesn't do this. It will give me a notification that the clip
has started but it never seems to finish.

I have hard reset the console. Deleted/redownloaded the upload studio apps. Reset mac addresses and deleted the only profile on the system with zero luck.

I've had my console since Christmas, and I'm not entirely sure the DVR ever worked. I've only been interested in recording content the past couple months.

It's really bothering me too. I know tech support is working on it, but I sure hope it gets fixed soon.

Ive recorded the whole campaign for cod ghosts and bf4 and some gameplay from titanfall beta and never once had a problem with the dvr however that has all changed. In past couple of days ive been tryna record assassins creed black flag and its completely
hit and miss which is highly frustrating. Some ive notice record 5 mins however 4 mins is pure black :/ really annoyed whatever they did to update *** it up!

 

Try this, go to your kinect settings and turn your kinect off and then try to record, by the way, this only works for the error code (0x80004005). Good Luck

Hey guys! Sorry you're still running into issues with the Game DVR still. I'd like you all to go ahead and make a new post about your issue. When you do, I'd like to get the build that you are on as well. You can find this by going to Settings >
System > Console Info. What we're looking for is the OS Version, and we need the entire line under that.

Since this thread is pretty old, I'm going to go ahead and lock it. We'll try to get you helped out individually once you post your new thread!
