Xbox One DVD Error when connected to Hitachi CP-X300 Projector

Your right that I am using Component video to connect to my overhead projector - ( there isn't HDMI pulled through the walls). This usually happens when playing HD Video (Amazon Prime Video) or when playing some game Discs.

I've not seen it happen with standard DVD playback - for that I use my DVD player instead of the Xbox.

Yes i mean a Projector! it is a BenQ TH681.

When i Connect the XBox Directly to the Projector it Works without any Problems! But when i Go First to the Receiver and then to the projector i have a black screen and no sound

I have BOTH an optoma HD600X-LV (720P) and just got a Optoma HD131XE (1080P). after about 2 years on my 42" LG tv my xbox 360 Slim would no longer connect by HDMI, however it did connect to my new 720p Optoma projector fine so i wasn't that bothered. However
i have just upgraded to a Optoma 1080p projector and my xbox 360 will not connect the projector pauses on HDMI 1 the screen goes black for 10 seconds and then it cycles through the other inputs. My xbox one however will work on both and the 360 does play thought
the 1080p but only when played through the xbox one with lag.

Any ideas on a box such as DVD player etc that has hdmi in and out that i can use to re-route the signal same as the xbox one without lag?

My problem is specific to HDMI. One of my displays is a projector, so direct connecting HDMI to it will never produce sound, it doesn't have any speakers. The preferred setup would be running the xbox through my receiver via hdmi, and allowing my receiver
to send the video signal, via hdmi, to the projector. Like how all of my other equipment works. For about a year and a half, I've had problems with HDCP errors on this xbox (that weren't there previously with the same equipment). I've replied to other threads
on these forums about the specific HDMI issues for DVD and netflix, and sent PM to someone named Mister Darcy from the support forum who asked specific questions about my setup.

On my Samsung TV model LN46D550, which had the HDMI HDCP errors, using any of 4 HDMI cables, directly connected, I did get sound if I turned off display auto detect, and set the xbox to stereo sound only. That was the only way I got ANY sound - game, menu,
etc. The xbox could not correctly use display detect (it thought it was hooked up via DVI, not HDMI - hence no sound) Xbox music gave me sound - but didn't play netflix or DVD's. Xbox set to 1080p. Display is HDCP compliant and had the latest firmware.

On my Benq W500 projector running at 720p (same xbox as above, display resolution set to 720p) xbox detect display works, and 5.1 audio works (when going through the receiver, the projector has no speakers) I get no dvd, no netflix, and no audio during xbox
music. tried 3 different HDMI cables, and also direct connected the xbox to the projector, just to check (obviously can't check the sound, but I checked the DVD/netflix errors). Other HDCP equipment works fine in this setup.

For Xbox music videos, I can see the video, just can't hear the sound. For music tracks, I get the screen saver visuals, and can see the track timer advancing, but have no sound.

Xbox music pass works on my Nokia 710 phone, so I assume the license is working fine.

Unfortunately using component or composite cables isn't a viable option with my setup. That's why I purchased the xbox with HDMI. Watching DVDs and HDDVDs back in 2010 worked fine on this xbox. I know the DVD/netflix stuff isn't specific to xbox music, but
I think it all might be related.

Which Xbox One model do you have? Is it the original Xbox One, the Xbox One S, or the Xbox One X?

What happens when you connect it to the projector? Does the projector just display no signal?
