    So I'll be honest. DVD playback is stalling. No noticeable reason, not in the same spot on the DVD ever and not at a specific time intervale. Happens on almost every single DVD I've tried. Never happens on blue ray disc and never from Netflix or even streaming
    from a NAS. Video is fine other than DVD playback.

    Between dozens of issues that keep showing up friends list not working and the xbox randomly saying it has lost my cable box im getting fed up. I paid the outrageous high price when the console came out to replace a really nice samsung blue ray player that
    did almost all the same things just not cable pass through. Ive tried the 24hz disable and power off. Ive changed the audio settings from auto to on and off. Ive even gone to the point of ripping the dvd prior to playing just to stream.

    Microsoft how dose a $500+ device not play a basic movie when an old Intel Pentium 2 will play DVD with ease? Sounds like you have some crappy code going on.

    I've tried to uninstall and reinstall but reinstalling from the same source dosent do anything... not sure who came up with the idea of reinstalling from a shadow copy but it dosent work.

    Xbox One S - DVD & Blu-ray audio out of sync - DVD audio/video sync worse

    UPDATE: Xbox One S returned. No solution for audio sync issue on DVD/Blu-ray playback.

    After scouring the internet I cannot find a solution. The Xbox Support seems to be correct. There was an issue with the Xbox One S where the audio was not in sync with the video on DVD and Blu-ray playback. I returned the Xbox One S.

    Hopefully few other experience the issue.

    Media Remote Menu Button During DVD/Blue-Ray Playback

    While playing a DVD or Blu-Ray on my Xbox One the menu key (3 lines stacked on each other) on an XB1 controller will bring up the DVD/Blu-Ray Menu. The same button on the new media remote does nothing during DVD/Blu-Ray playback. Is this a bug with the remote?
    Do I have a faulty remote? Is anyone else experiencing this?

    I was having this issue as well. Unfortunately now the drive is not recognizing Blu-ray discs at all.

    yes the Xbox one comes with blue-ray built in. and will play blue-rays and regular dvd's.

    DVD playback quality is still atrocious.

    You seem to have taken this a little too personally Listed.

    Besides you seem to have misunderstood the subject. The OP is not complaining that blu-ray playback is better than that of DVD. Rather that the One's DVD playback ability is not as good as standalone blu-ray players.
