    Xbox One Dropped Router Connection

I am facing an issue whereby my connection between my XBox One and router drops on a regular basis. When the connection drops I am removed from the game that I am playing and temporarily disconnected from Party chat, although the party chat automatically
    reconnects after a few seconds.

My internet connection (Sky fibre optic) does not appear to be dropping (I do not face these same issues with other wired/wireless connections). I have checked the security logs on my router and it appears to be just the connection between the xbox (ethernet
    port 1). See below.

I have tried replacing the ethernet cable and changing the port on the router that the xbox is connected to but this has not helped.

The xbox is on a static IP and I have opened all relevant ports. NAT is Open.

The router is a Sagem FaST2504n (F@ST2504n) from Sky.

If anyone has any suggestions, your help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

    :)

Need help setting up two consoles.

Sounds like router kick out the other wifi connection. I suspect it is one of those stupid router that only allows one single Xbox to pass the firewall.

If you cannot login because wifi is really got dropped.

If changing the Xbox name to different one (probably wouldn't matter, but, try it anyway) still not solving the problem.

If seperating connecting to different bandwidth (30mbps vs 4G) and still doesn't work.

If all the above doesn't work. You would have to spend a lot more time to figure out what the router is doing. Use static IP may help, but, you may have to manually unblock the firewall.

    Hey there Woody182!

Are you experiencing these issues connected to wireless as well? Check to see if you experience similar issues on wireless. If the issue persists on wireless, I would recommend trying the console on a different network. That will really help us narrow down
the issue! Xbox One Dropped Router Connection :)

Post back and let us know if that helps!

I have used wireless tonight and do not appear to be having the same issues. Do you think it could be an issue with the Ethernet port on my xbox console?

I have tried a number of different ports on my router and still had the same problems with each so I don't think the router is the problem.

Unfortunately it sounds like your Xbox One console may need to be repaired. You can continue to use wireless, but if you want to use ethernet I recommend requesting a repair on your Xbox One console. You can do that by getting in contact with our chat or
phone support agents by visiting our Contact Us page. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may cause!

Feel free to post back and let us know how everything goes! Xbox One Dropped Router Connection :)
