Xbox One Download Speed SUCKS!Internet speed problem I'm sure

This is about the Xbox One but I will mention things about the Xbox 360 as well.I have had this issue ever since I got my first Xbox 360 back when Halo 3 released,but it just keeps getting worse.I know that it probably has alot to do with my internet speed.So
when I first started using my Xbox 360,things were slow.An average download of A game could last days to weeks,and bigger games could easily take A month.I was ok with this,I had patience but obviously it was annoying.My online gaming was ok,lag now and then,sometimes
to much to play at all.Now I get Xbox One about mid last year,expecting things to be better(assumed Xbox 360 was damaged or something to cause the problems),but obviously it's worse.I can't play online multiplayer at all due to the insane lag.An average download
time for these games,even just A games update,can last weeks to months.Lately it's been taking months to finish anything and sometimes the game that says "installing" stays on like 5-10% for weeks before moving.I have one right now,not even A big game,that's
been on 0% for about 2 maybe 3 weeks now.One has been downloading since I got my Xbox One and doesn't look like it will finish anytime soon.Oh and they love to do the "installation stopped" all the time,forcing me to try and activate them again and usually
they just don't start up again for a long time.Playing games messes up the downloading process as well obviously,so I have only been playing my Xbox One for maybe half the time I've owned it,if not less.Now if I buy A game on disc,it will download in A few
days or so,but if it's digital it takes forever.I don't need the best high speed downloads,I just need it to were it takes A few days or so to download any game and for me to actually be able to play online.Is there any settings I can change or numbers,like
DNS or something,to improve the speed,even if just A little?I kinda doubt it will ever get better due to my PC sucks,my router sucks and our internet sucks.I know we live in A bad place for internet but this is just stupidly messed up.I have no clue what internet
providers deal with my area other than the crappy one we have.I probably should just give up on gaming,but I'm A gamer...not going to happen.

Super slow download for FIFA 17 Trial

Same problem here in the uk. Internet connection showing usual 40Mb/s speed

Every time I go to download a game or patch updates I'm getting less than 2Mb connection speed on Xbox One

 

Connected to internet but not connected to xbox Live

I'm connected to internet, but not connecting to Xbox Live my subscription is still good until March 1 . Have restarted my Xbox One multiple times. I'm using a Wi-Fi connetion. Chexked speeds download is 41 and upload 6 not sure if these are thw regular
speeds because I never checked until I had this problem.

 

when you say your internet "sucks" what do you mean exactly ? What are the results if you do a speedtest on your pc ?

I'm having the same issue. My internet is slower than most peoples because its throttled, but I never had issues until the latest console update. For example, I set fallout 4 to do a 500mb update overnight(which should have only taken a couple hours at most),
but when I woke up, it was only at 25%. I checked my network meter and the Xbox had downloaded the over 3gb of data. I believe there is a bug in the download/updating system.

Before anyone says get better internet, its not an option. I've had my Xbox since launch and never had this problem until now.

 

Speed test shows .32Mbs...that is lower than usual but not by much.On average my speed is always under 1Mbps so like I said I always had this problem.I already explained why my internet sucks,we have A crappy provider and we live in A bad area.I know i'll
never have good speed I just looking for A way to maybe improve what I got somehow.Is there any DNS that can help,I know it can be changed.I do need A better router but they to expensive,the one we have was like $60-$80 and that's A cheap one.I know the people
that live around me have better speed than me so I think it might be our provider that's the problem but can't change it because my dad made friends with the people and he doesn't want to drop them now...think I'm just *** unless I can get the expensive routers

Unfortunately if your Internet speed is that slow with all devices you won't be able to boost it. Only your ISP can provide you faster Internet. Perhaps you can tether your cell phone and get better speeds that way, or look at Satellite options. That said,
I understand your frustration, but with speeds that slow you won't have a good experience with updates. Getting father speeds some way from another ISP is your only option.
