Xbox one download speed problems!

Hi,

Apologies if this question has been answered before.

My xbox one won't connect to the internet properly, i've ran some tests on the xbox and the detailed network statistics suggest i'm only getting a Download speed of 0.03mbps and a upload speed of 0.84mbps.

When i turn my xbox off and run a speed test through my laptop i'm getting results of 5.41mbps and 0.85mbps.

I've had my xbox since release day and although its never ran at optimum performance its only recently been this bad.

Whenever i turn it on i've also noticed other devices in my house have slowed down quite considerably, almost to unusable speeds.

I have a Homehub 3.

Can anyone help?

Xbox One X Detailed Network Statistics Issue

I have exactly the same issue! On my original xbox one I used to get over 200 mbps download speeds, but on my xbox one x I barely get 2 mbps. However I do not experience any lag. I also had some problems when trying to download online games - download speeds
would from very low to very high in a matter of seconds.

New Xbox One Owner, question about download speed

I never had a problem with download speed. I use a wired connection of 10 mbps and download speeds are pretty much what I'd expect, but lots of people are complaining about it recently. That's not an issue exclusive to Xbox either... Slow download speed on PS4?

Hello, I would recommend powering off both your hub and console for at least 1 minute. Then turn back on your router, allowing it to fully start up and connect. Then turn your xbox back on. Try reconnecting to your internet.

If you are connecting to your router through a wireless network then I would recommend using a wired connection if possible.

Hi,

i've tried that a few times the last few days and no change.

I've always had my xbox connected using a ethernet cable, even though i switched it to a wireless connection earlier today to see if it made a difference and it didn't.

The only thing that comes to mind is to contact your internet provider and see if they have any way of helping you.

Fixed! Swapped over the ethernet cable and plugged into a different port on my router seemed to have done the trick!

do you have enough memory on the xbox? that's one of the main problems with slow download speed

Hello dear Xbox support

I have a problem on my Xbox one S, the problem is slow internet speed, its between 200kB/s and 80kB/s, and the problem start before 10 days ago.

I tried to solve this problem by :

1- restarting Xbox and still download slow.

2- restarting my router but still the same problem.

3- unplug the wired cable and plug it again, but still the same problem.

4- connecting my Xbox to wifi connection, same problem.

5- testing my internet speed on my laptop by using the same cable (wired connection) and the speed is like usual 1.5 mB/s, and upload is 220 kB/s.

6- change wifi password and disconnect all devices from connecting to my internet, still the same slow damn download speed.

7- trying to test my internet speed on Xbox and my internet speed was : 9.19 mbps, and that's my natural internet speed, so the problem not from my internet provider.

8- trying to re-download the games that I want to download and updates, still the same **** download speed.

9- trying downloading new games, same slow download speed.

10- testing some DNS's, nothing new, same slow download speed.

11- resetting my xbox one S (not full reset) and trying to download games and updates, same problem.

I tried anything you can imagine, any new ideas guys ?
Now i just bought red dead redemption, imagine how time I need to download 101GB with 80kB/s speed!

There's one think I can tell is Xbox limited download speed from their servers, and I'm from morocco.

I hope I can solve this problem. and By the way yesterday I want to download microsoft edge for testing, and the download speed was the same as on my Xbox xD, 80kB/s. and I'm downloading and watching movies with 1.2mB/s

Are you connected through landline, or through a celllular service?

Since Marocco is not among the countries/regions where the Live service is supported, so how do you connect your console to Xbox Live? Through a VPN service?
