    Xbox One download speed much slower then internet connection


    Hello, having troubles with Xbox one yesterday and also new Xbox one X purchased today. Im in Australia and have ADSL 2+ with download speed of 18 megabyte on all tested devices (including PlayStation) but only 3 megabyte on Xbox.

    Wasn't experiencing this issue until last few days. Any idea please??

    Hello,

    Have check if your internet is working fine and is providing good enough speed for games to download or upload. If your using wireless connection you will have slower internet connection than using a wired connection.

    To check your internet speed on console follow this steps:

    Press the Menu button on the Xbox One controller.

    Select Settings.

    Select Network.

    Select Detailed Network Statistics.

    The results should appear in a few moments

    When you install games from disc, the Xbox will download the updates for the game as well. you could be experiencing slow internet speeds a good place to check and trouble shooting can be found here:

    support.xbox.com/.../troubleshoot-slow-game-or-app-downloads-on-xbox-one     . I have a strong internet connection games will download faster then when I install a game at my brothers house who is using a Verizon data card for internet, so download speeds still
    mater when it comes to updating the game while it installing.

    The download speeds on Xbox service are pretty poor currently. I have the same issue. Working great on everything else

    Sorry to hear you're having slow game downloads.

    The way that Xbox Live access the internet and marketplace servers is different than how other devices access it. I know that in general downloads via Live tend to be much slower than your actual internet connection. The download speeds you're seeing are typical
    and about the same as what I experience when downloading games at home.

    I'm hoping that this is something that will improve with the Xbox One so that I can get quick access to Games on Demand!
