the first 5Ghz is solely for my Xbox and the other 5Ghz is for another Xbox
Sounds like you don't have "Smart Connect" configured, to load balance between the two concurrent 5 GHz band.

What happens if you disable one of the 5 GHz radios? Any changes (besides the fact that you only have two radios operational)?

What is the make and model of your modem (the device that sits at the far end of your local network, facing the Internet)?
Now after being on overnight with instant on enabled it's down to 6.95 Mbps.
Is the upload speed unchanged, or is it affected as well?

This is a known issue, where speeds significantly differ from the state prior to being woken up from sleep (Instant-On). The band-aid solution is to switch from Instant-On to Energy-saving (mother earth will thank you).

It would make some sence to this particular issue, where Instant-On is invoved, and the power consumption feeding the wireless network adapter is less than desirable, when the console is being shaken up from its sleep (setting power to ON, err).

upload speed stays the same, my router is a Nighthawk X6 AC3200 Tri-band WiFi router with a Hilton CGNM-2250 . is "smart connect" another name for "dynamic QoS" cause that's enabled. but what it sounds like your saying is, their is only so much bandwidth
or whatever available and the amount of devices I have connected limit the transfer to my Xbox. if so theirs no fixing that unless I turn a radio off like you said.

it sits at 85Mbps download right now so maybe that's what I get???

also I just reconfigured some setting to make my NAT type open, before it was moderate, maybe that will help for Xbox performance.

I've done everything I can to fix it just shy of getting a new Xbox so we'll have to wait to see what happens in the next update, and if infact its a bug or just how it is with my internet speed.
upload speed stays the same
Just as I suspected it to do.
is "smart connect" another name for "dynamic QoS" cause that's enabled.
Smart Connect has nothing to do with being deliberately unfair to specific traffic types, so that other traffic types can get preferential treatments (which
    in short describes QoS).

No, what I meant by Smart Connect (or what Netgear refers it to) is somewhat like the idea of band selectable radios. You tick enable Smart Connect and configure the same SSID for both 5 GHz radio bands, along with the same passphrase. Stations that are capable
of connecting through the 5 GHz band are then automatically steered towards on or the other radio. This allow clients to load balance between the two bands (5 GHz).
it sits at 85Mbps download right now so maybe that's what I get??
What DL/UL speeds do you see if you were to run a
www.speedtest.net towards a server located in Seattle, WA (US)? On your PC.
also I just reconfigured some setting to make my NAT type open, before it was moderate, maybe that will help for Xbox performance.
NAT have no impact on the speed of your devices.
Hitron CGNM-2250
You know this is a gateway, which not only consists of the function as a modem, but also router/NAT/Wireless access point built-in into the same box. Or is this device operating in bridge mode/pass through?

Is your local network behind a
    DS-Lite
    deployment model?

Good! Xbox one download speed issue :)

What about the speedtest on your PC (as per my previous post)? I forgot to mention, it's prefered if you can perform this test whilst connected wireless with your PC (5 GHz is preferable).

It's not on your end. I've been dealing with this issue for weeks. I troubleshot it for 2 weeks to the point of even replacing my modem. MS support is zero help and one on the phone guaranteed me it wasn't on their end and then hung up on me. The problem
is on their end and there's nothing you can do. Many others are reporting the exact same thing. When I first encountered it everything I tried to download would get between 800kbps and 1mb/s. Speedtests show 60mb down. All other devices in the house work
perfectly fine. Now I'm able to get decent speeds most of the time but some things are the 1-2mb/s range some are between 10-20mb/s and some are my normal 40-50mb/s. At this point all we can do is continue to complain and hope MS gets to the bottom of it.
    It's pretty sad honestly.
Speed test while connected to 5Ghz is///ping 14ms, download 136.01Mbps, upload 16.31Mbps
Out of curiosity, did you change the location of the server you ran the speedtest towards, to a server located in Seattle, WA (US)?
I ask this because, by defualt, it runs the speedtest/pingtest towards a server based on best ping.

With Instant-On disabled and Energy-saving mode enabled, does the DL rates ever take you on a deep slope, where it shows DL rates below 10 Mbit/s?
That's all I want is an answer, or at least that their investigating the issue.
It has been acknowledge by at least one support agent, and hopefully, the proper team is working on a fix.

I'm having a similar issue DLing the Battlefield update as I type. My speeds jump from as high as 32 to as low as 5Mb/s. After reading several posts about this issue, I'm sorry that it is happening, but glad to see I am not alone.

I have an Nighthawk X6 AC3200 Tri-band WiFi router sitting 5 feet away through a thin wall, I can't do wired though. switching to 2.4Ghz is worse cause I got everything else on that one, the first 5Ghz is solely for my Xbox and the other 5Ghz is for another
Xbox..... lol, I guess all I can do is wait for a patch, but i really just wanted to say something instead of just siting here, so I could find an answer on if it is my router or if it is a bug to have more people aware so Microsoft can do something about
    it.

the preview program is for people more technical than me, so no I don't have my console in the program.
