Xbox One downing my entire network.

Hello, I apologize if this is in the wrong place, this is the first time I've used these forms.

A few days ago I purchased Halo 5: Guardians. I was able to play it the first night (early Tuesday morning technically) and later Tuesday evening with no problems. From Wednesday on, I've been disconnected frequently. The thing is, this isn't just from the
game I was in, or live. My entire network would be down. I'd lose all connectivity for a few minutes, and then It'd be back. I've noticed this only happens when I connect to other people.As I've only tried playing Halo 5 recently, it's been when I try to play
multiplayer or cooperative play. It was to the point that I'd join a friend's party, launch Halo 5, and get lose my internet connection on all devices. Otherwise, my connect remains steady. I have a Netgear N450 (CG3000Dv2) modem/router combo and my ISP
is Comcast.

So far I've tried:

Power Cycling (many times).

Giving my xbox a static IP

Opening and Forwarding xbox one ports

Setting my xbox's static IP address as a DMZ.

Disabling firewalls, and all security except passkey.

I've disabled NAT/Wireless Access Point ( Effectively turning my modem/router) into bridged mode and connecting a TL-WDR3500 N600 TP-Link Router.

Connecting my Bridged Modem/Gateway directly (effectively directly connecting my modem).

All of these proved fruitless and the problem persisted. I've had this modem/router for a few months (about 3 I believe) and it has worked fine. I read on another form post that it was an issue with the gateway (the modem/router combo) and that bridging
it and getting a router solved the issue, so I was hopeful, but it didn't solve my issue. Aside from buying a new modem ( I plan to, but wanted to hear from others first), and I've about factory resetting to see if it helps.

Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you for your time.

To let you know, if you down the opponent and the kill is stolen you still get most of the point for downing him. My friend stole one of my kills and got 10 points when i got around 100 for downing him.

Does your isp throttle speeds? From what I've heard about Comcast it's possible you're not disconnecting but instead Comcast is cutting back your speed due to high traffic. Is your ip address changing during the cutoff? I know Time Warner cycles my ip at
weird times and during long play sessions I'll usually get disconnected for a few minutes then it comes back on.

 

As far as I know, no, they do not. Some areas a subject to data caps and throttling, and Texas as a whole isn't. Comcast posts which states and which area codes within the state are subject to caps.
