Xbox One Doom (2016) Issue

It seems that I'm having some visual problems with Doom. I decided I'd play it through before picking up a copy of Eternal, and I'm having a major issue with the environment being way too dark, to the point where I can't see the enemies, walls, doors, or
items without a highlighted action (RS click). This is making it very, very difficult to play. I have adjusted the brightness, gamma, and backlight on my television along with the brightness and gamma in the game, to no avail. Is this an error within the
game, or is it something in particular with my setup?

I don't have this problem in other games which can have dark areas like Halo, Gears, and Fallout, making me believe that this is game-specific. I generally play games with a dark theme at the first setting above standard brightness with no changes to my
television's setup, and with the backlight as dim as it can be. This is a first for me.

I also think that it's the game because as the creatures take damage, that damage is almost all I can see of the model. Fighting a Hell Knight, I can't easily see it in a darkened area, but as soon as it takes some damage, the damaged area/limbs appear
bright red. Even in areas which are light, like outside on the surface of Mars, there isn't a lot of detail to the character model. It mostly just looks black, and this applies to every dark-colored baddie in the game. Imps are virtually impossible for
me to see.

Any further suggestions? I already did a re-install, and still have this issue.
