It has been so long since Dolby Atmos worked correctly.

When is the update to correct the problem coming?

Seems weird that it is taking so long to fix.

Isn't there any new information of what is causing this or something at all?

    :)

My Atmos setting, keeps getting reset. I have to go back into settings and reenable it. I used to be in the Insider program, and left it just to stop this happening. Frustratingly, it hasn’t. Today, it has me in a loop. Go to settings, try to enable
it, it says i need to download the app, app is already installed, open app, go to home theater settings, it takes me back to Xbox settings, and the whole process keeps repeating.
The exact same thing is happening to me. It's a Settings/Atmos/Settings infinite loop.

Check to see if you have the May 2020 update available (standard, not Insider). It seems to have foxed all my known Atmos issues.
I installed the May 2020 update last night (May 17). I'm still having the same Atmos pops and crackling issues on Netflix and only Netflix. I suppose I'll try reinstalling Dolby Access and Netflix, again.

I have reinstalled Dolby Access and Netflix, still the same pops and crackling, although it seems less severe, I still can't use it. Anyone know anything about the 120/240Hz TV settings having something to do with this? Why would it only be on Netflix?

As far as my understanding this issue is related to the color bit-depth selected or perhaps the refresh rate when set to 120hz.

Personally, I'm using 1440p, 120hz, and 10-bit. I haven't had any major issues using Dolby Atmos with this setting.

Although, once or twice I've had to re-open the Dolby app to re-apply the settings.

Here is the current known issue and workaround. I hope this helps

    "Audio

    • Users who have Dolby Atmos enabled and console display settings set to 120hz with 36 bits per pixel (12-bit) are experiencing loss of Dolby Atmos audio in some situations.
      • Workaround: Disable 120hz or set Video Fidelity to 30 bits per pixel (10-bit) or lower."

That doesn't apply to everyone, my atmos works fine, the issue is that every time I restart my XBOX I have to reinstall the dolby app to be able to set the atmos again. It doesn't persist the settings.

Also I use a projector which has the maximum refresh rate os 60hz so that doesn't apply to me.

Having this exact same thing happening to me right now .
I believe this has been fixed in the new Insider update 24 April 2020 . Mine been working since the latest insider update!

Apologies , I thinkt eh problem is still there!

Insider update fixed the problem with input was shown as Multi Input , that is fixed now, it shows Atmos but the settings get reset every time the XBOX is reset. The only workaround for me is to uninstall the Dolby App and reinstall it again. This is really
frustrating as everytime I turn on my XBOX I have to do it!

I am not in the Insider program. My Atmos in Netflix is still broken, although it seems to work a LITTLE better in some titles. In the Netflix series, "Another Life", it still pops and clicks, but not as heavily as before. First episode intro scene while
the ship lands. Every time I reset my Xbox (hard reset), Atmos loses its settings and I have to go back into Dolby Access before I do anything else on the console. If I launch Netflix after that, no Atmos titles will play, stopping at 2% with error tvq-pb-101
(5.6.0) "We're having trouble playing this title right now. Please try again later or select a different title." Eventually, after playing some games or something else, the titles will play with the audio artifacts on Netflix only. Original Xbox One console.

I did receive an e-mail April 16th from Dolby support saying Microsoft will release a permanent fix for Atmos Netflix on the next update. I assume that's what the Insiders are looking at. I don't know how they can say the fix will be permanent if the Insiders
are still having issues. We'll find out soon!
