XBOX ONE doesnt work out the box

Got an Xbox one for my boy for Christmas....out the box it didnt work...error codes E200 00000016

Tried everything to get it fixed, including trying to reinstal software and system restores, ive spent the last 2 hours on it

Very disappointied that i paid nearly £400 for a system that doesnt even work.

I now have very upset son in tears as all his friends are on the new xbox ones playing against each other and hes sat watching xmas movies cos we got a duff one

Sort it out Microsoft.....

Can't play videos once netflix app is launched.

I am having the same problem with the same error code. I am watching in 720p. My TV doesnt support 1080. Its with the HDMI cable out of the box. I can watch and use netflix using my XBOX 360. It just doesnt work through Xbox One. Please help!

Seems to be a common issue. Xbox One requires quite a large install when first turned on for first time, much of it is downloaded. Sadly there is an issue with XBL and PSN (Playstation) which where both cyber attacked today. I have my system up and running
for a year now, but even I can not get anything to install or download.

If the issues are hardware then you should take it back to shop, or contact Xbox via the support section to resolve the issue. Good luck, I know that my kids are eager to play the games they got, but they can at least play games, and it is heart breaking
to watch them looking at the boxes with dreams in their eyes. But to have a console that is not working or an issue with online that is preventing the download would be much worse.

If not done so already, try contacting Xbox Support they can give you a more direct answer to what the issue maybe.

 

We are having the same issue...right out of the box it's not working. My kid is soo upset.

 

Got one for my son this morning.

Got it online and set up fine, then constant crashing of the menu screen and trying to install games impossible.

Took the step to disconnnect from internet as that helps install from disk apparently.

Had another crash so restarted now Xbox one stuck on the green loading screen for half an hour.

Always had Xbox, but regretting buying this one already, total garbage.

 

same problem got system out of the box and hooked it up and system error very upset when you pay that much for a system you should be able to play it right out of the box with no downloads

 

Same here. Brand spanking new too Cant even get our son`s to display on any of our TV`s but i lights up . Tried on 4 TV`s, Used mine and my other sons power block ( his advance warfare one works fine), my power block off my 2 Ones, all new hdmi cables,
so on and so-fourth. Back to Game i go for as soon as it open`s at 9.30 am. Bearing in mind i bought 3 the same day and they were wrapped up the same day ..

 

My brother got one this morning for christmas (I have had one for awhile now and it works just fine, never had an issue) and his will not even do the initial update after confirming wifi. If there is a serious XBL network issue, it does not affect xbox ones
that have been working before today. This is very disappointing.

 

I am having the same problem with the brand new xbox one that I bought for my 2 boys for Christmas. It says there was a problem with the update. When I tried to troubleshoot the problem through Microsoft's website, it just said "Uh oh, you found a glitch
in the system". That was it! No attempt to help or suggestions for solving the problem! Microsoft's customer service is by far the worst I have ever come across!

 

Just opened mine up for Christmas and all it displays is the initial green screen with the xbox one logo and name. HELP!

 

I'm having the same issue. I bought one for my son that's seven, and he's very upset. this is not what I expected out of my hard earn dollars!!!!

 

Having the same problem. This is very frustrating. I really hope Microsoft has some type of compensation plans for this extreme inconvenience. This really put a damper on the kids Christmas. Very bad service on such an important day!!

 

XBOX...look we have a brand spanking new xbox one, and we cannot use it on Christmas day. This was the big christmas present...and now xbox is the grinch..comeon this is crazy..you should be able to play a game on a disk out of the box! 910-850-4939 call

Same issue here. Bought PlayStation an kid opened it today on Christmas and I am on 5 Plus Hours of trying to get it working!!! This sucks Microsoft. You have ruined Christmas for my child
