Xbox one doesn’t want to shut down when I have it on Shutdown/Energy saving mode.

Xbox one doesn’t want to fully shut down on shutdown mode, been doing this for weeks since I installed an update for it. Tried everything to fix it, going in insider mode, factory reset it my console but nothing worked. I’ve also made sure everything is up to date. I don’t know if I’m the only one with this problem because I have found nothing online about it. (Also my Xbox one I have is the one with the separate power supply)

Hi. My name is Brilliant, an independent advisor, happy to assist you today.

I’m sorry to hear that. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

    1. Perform a full power cycle: Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller. If you don’t see the green boot-up animation when the console restarts, repeat these steps. Make sure that you hold the power button until the console completely shuts down.

    2. Check your power settings: Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide. Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Power options. Select the Sleep option

    I hope this helps.

Turn off the power switch to Xbox One X after it is turned off

This shouldn't hurt the console as it is considered one of the power cycling steps. However, if you want to shut your console off fully why not just take it off of the energy saving mode? Have it shut down completely when you're not using it.

TV worked after setup, but not working now... (error 0x8027025a)

Put the system into Energy Saving mode to completely shut down the One.

I have trouble wiht live TV on Xbox One

Hi Reloaded Nazgul. I have the same problem with my xbox one combined with my SAT-reciever from TechniSat.

I use my xbox with shut down option "fast-boot": Whenever I shutdown my xbox and boot again, the TV-picture from my SAT-reciever stays black. If I use my xbox with the shut down option "energy-save mode", so shut down comlete, and start my xbox again, everything
is ok. The SAT-reciever shows up the TV-picture normaly. In witch shutdown mode do you use your xbox? So far I don't have a solution to use the xbox with "fast boot" option with my sattelite-reciever.

    Hime screen is extremely slugglish

It doesnt clear the cache, as of right know the default power mode Instant-On which never lets the system fully shut down and only goes into a stanby mode seems to cause this overtime. There seems to be some kinda problem with the X1 not clearing out
the ram when turning on from standby mode. If you switch it to energy saving it will allow the system to do a full shutdown when you turn it off. However the startup time of the console is like 1 min if you use energy saving.
