And what's odd is that it used to work, and literally nothing on my computer or xbox has changed.

My NAT is open, sharing is enabled, they are both wired to the same router running DD-WRT. Like I said before, nothing, on either the computer, the xbox, or even the router, has changed. media streaming via the media player app, or even right click >play
to works anymore.

I've tried all different kinds of steps:

Renaming my Xbox One.

Going into Devices and Printers and clicking 'Add a Device' (xbox doesn't show up, nor does it show up when trying to add it)

Getting a proper DLNA media server setup (tried PS3 MS, Plex, TVersity, ect)

Computer and xbox not communicating.

ever since the recent update, i can't stream media from my computer to my xbox. i have tried everything i could find through google and nothing works. the xbox does not show up in my network folder on the computer (windows 7) or in teh media sharing options
in windows media player. the computer doesn't show up on the xbox at all anymore.

This happening to me to. What he means is it doesn't come up on the computer. It doesn't show up at all! It only shows up on my computer! It did this as soopn as I formatted it on my xbox one... Im starting to get *** of because this is ridicules. I bet
Microsoft did this on purpose!

Did you find out how to fix this because I'm having exactly the same problem. I have two Xbox ones on the same network and only one of them shows up on the network sharing centre which is really annoying.

speedtest shows me at about 20mbps downstream, about 1mbps up. nothing else on the network is active when i'm streaming, and i'm on a wired connection. i can also run netflix on my computer without disruptions, it's only when streaming with the Xbox. it
doesn't seem to be that my network is dropping the connection or that i'm having bandwidth issues or connection issues to netflix - the error message is telling me that i've been disconnected from Live.

On the Xbox one that is having trouble with streaming (I suggest renaming each console to keep the names unique to the console) it is possible that there could be conflicts with multiple Xboxes with the same stream to name. Go to setting>console and go to
the console name (usually is XBOXONE) and rename it. Restart the console and go to your computer with Windows 10 on it (I suggest leave the computer ON and running when you rename the console) and check under the network folder to see if the console shows
up. Also go to settings>devices>connected devices>play devices to see if the console shows up there too. If not, add the device.

Another thing to check in the network folder is the media devices (you might have to go into Windows media player to set it up to stream) to see if it shows up there too. If it shows up in other devices, but not also in media devices (it needs to show up
in both places), you need to factory reset the console (and repeat the above steps) while the computer is on and running. When you have multiple Xboxes on one network, the router becomes the roadblock and often conflicts with the console main web address,
which when both boxes are connected the router can't tell which one is which, except when the console name is different.
